Great folks!

❤️ PEACE POD SPOTLIGHT: MEET BRITTANY! ❤️
One of my favorite things about Peace Pod Montessori is the incredible community of people who pour so much love into this special little school, and today we’re shining the spotlight on Brittany, a Peace Pod parent and dedicated garden volunteer!

When it was time for Brittany and her husband to choose a school for their daughter, she knew she wanted something different. She wanted a place where her daughter could move, explore, be outside, learn at her own pace and, most importantly, stay excited about learning.

Then someone mentioned a little Montessori school in Augusta. Within days, they were filling out an application and taking a tour. By the end of her daughter’s first year, she was actually disappointed to find out school stopped for summer! I think that says just about everything. ❤️

Brittany also loves the little glimpses Peace Pod gives parents into their children’s days. Through photos and videos shared by the teachers, she’s watched her daughter learn to tie her own shoes, work alongside her friends and experience that amazing feeling of accomplishing something she worked hard to master. Brittany doesn’t just love the Peace Pod community, she gives right back to it. When she became concerned about the school garden over summer break, she volunteered to take care of it herself. Through the Augusta heat, she kept it alive and thriving so the children would return to something beautiful. Extra vegetables went to neighbors, flowers became bouquets, and that garden became a little spot of sunshine for both the school and the neighborhood.

Now the children get to spend time there learning about the plants, harvesting vegetables and even cooking with what they grow. How sweet is that?! A native Augustan, Brittany loves gardening, arts and crafts, hunting for artifacts, shark teeth and gemstones, and spending time with her family. Most evenings end around the table playing board games, with BINGO and UNO currently in heavy rotation!

Brittany, thank you for putting so much love into a place that means so much to your family. Peace Pod Montessori is special because of people like you. ❤️

We are so proud of Taylor and her continuing sobriety.

Six months ago, Taylor made one of the bravest decisions of her life.

We had the privilege of walking alongside her through one of her darkest seasons, loving her exactly where she was without judgment, while believing there was still hope. When she reached the end of herself and said she was ready for treatment, we were honored to help cover her entry fees to Hope House in Beaufort, SC.

Today, she picked up her 6-month chip. 💛

Taylor, we are so incredibly proud of you. Your willingness to ask for help, do the hard work, and keep showing up day after day is inspiring. Recovery isn’t always easy, but you are proving that a new life is possible.

Thank you for allowing Open Arms to be a small part of your journey. The real work has been yours, and you continue to show what courage and perseverance look like.

We can’t wait to see what God has in store for your future. Keep trusting Him, keep taking the next right step, and know that we’ll always be cheering you on.

Congratulations on six months! One day at a time. ❤️

We are proud to partner with Good Neighbor Ministries to help people just like Taylor find recovery and stability. Without their leadership and guidance this would not be possible.

We would love the help!

We would love the help!

Hello dear sisters, brothers and friends. Tomorrow, Wednesday, July 8, 2026 we will be working at the church, organizing the kitchen and storage area. We have some chairs and tables that are functional but not in good condition for the church and will be removed. If you want or need them, please come by the church tomorrow.
If you have time and would like to help, you are also welcome.
God bless you and have a happy Tuesday.

As part of the grant from Piedmont Hospital Augusta, we have sponsored over 15 people for detox, treatment, and sober living since January 2026. These people were ready for help – we answered the call.
Updates on Recovery

• A gentleman is graduating from residential treatment and moving forward.
• Taylor, a participant living in sober housing, is continuing to recover while giving back to the community. She is pictured representing Low Country Hope House.
