AmeriCorps of The CSRA United Way are now accepting applications for our VISTA program. If you are looking for a way to dedicate a year to helping others while gaining invaluable professional experience, this is the opportunity for you!

By joining as a VISTA, youā€™ll spend 12 months supporting local nonprofits or schools through capacity building, fundraising, and community engagement.

šŸ’¼ Whatā€™s the Job?

Provide one year of dedicated service through:

Capacity Building & Partnership Development

Community Engagement & Volunteer Recruitment

Fundraising & Event Planning

šŸŽ The Benefits:

Living Allowance: $957 every two weeks (full-time).

Choice of Completion Award: An Eli Segal Education Award ($7,395) OR a cash stipend ($1,800).

Additional Support: Access to healthcare and childcare benefits.

Thank you for your outstanding service during our MLK Day of Service Project. We are truly overwhelmed by your support and deeply grateful for the outpouring of kindness shown by your dedicated staff, volunteers, and students. Because of your commitment, so many individuals and families in our community will be positively impacted. We are thankful beyond words for your generosity and willingness to serve.



Together we collected 4,920 food items, weighing 3,581 pounds, with an estimated value of $7,540.73. For every $1 dollar of your monetary donations, GAP Ministries will be able to purchase 10 pounds of food from the Golden Harvest Food Bank.



We are also proud to celebrate McBeam Elementary School, where two classes tied for first place: Mrs. Presleyā€™s Pre-K class and Mr. Ystenesā€™ 3rd grade class, each collecting 75 cans of food. A pizza party celebration is forthcoming!
