Battery safety is a shared challenge, and progress takes collaboration.
We are proud to announce a new strategic partnership with National Waste & Recycling Association and National Waste & Recycling Foundation (NWRF) to strengthen battery safety education, expand responsible recovery efforts, and provide additional resources for the waste and recycling industry.
Together, we will expand public education and battery collection initiatives while providing practical tools and resources to help safely manage batteries throughout the collection and recycling process.
By bringing together our complementary expertise, we can help strengthen battery recovery infrastructure and improve safety throughout the recycling stream.

🔋 We’re excited to officially announce our MOU with The Battery Network to strengthen battery safety education, expand responsible recovery efforts and provide additional resources for the waste and recycling industry.
After working together on many battery take back events over the bast 10 months, The Battery Network, NWRA and NWRF look forward to building on that work and expanding NWRF’s “Skip the Bin! Turn Your Batteries In!” campaign featuring Woodsy Owl. Together, we will broaden public education around proper battery disposal and equip industry professionals with practical tools to safely manage batteries.
This partnership is an important step toward our shared goal of reducing fires, protecting workers and communities, and making responsible battery management more accessible nationwide.
