What if the holiest day on the Jewish calendar has something to teach us about Jesus?

Yom Kippur, the Day of Atonement, points us toward the seriousness of sin, the need for forgiveness, and the cost of reconciliation with God.

The high priest entered the Most Holy Place with the blood of a sacrifice. But Jesus, our perfect High Priest, entered once for all, offering His own blood and securing eternal redemption.

To understand Yom Kippur is to see the gospel with deeper eyes.

“He entered the Most Holy Place once for all by His own blood, thus obtaining eternal redemption.” —Hebrews 9:12
