In John 11, we meet two grieving sisters, a questioning crowd, and a Savior whose actions were difficult for those around Him to understand. They knew Jesus could heal. What they were about to witness would deepen their understanding of who He is.

What was unique about Lazarus’ resurrection compared with many other healings?

The answer matters beyond Biblical knowledge. It can shape how we trust Jesus when His timing puzzles us and our circumstances seem beyond hope.

🇳🇬PRAY FOR NIGERIA

Heavenly Father, we lift the people of Nigeria before You—a nation carrying grief, facing persistent insecurity, and looking toward its future.

We pray for every family mourning a loved one lost in the military aircraft crash in Ondo State. You know each person whose life was cut short and every loved one now facing an empty place at home. Draw near to grieving spouses, children, parents, friends, and fellow service members.

Lord, we pray for communities in Borno and across Nigeria living under the threat of insurgency, armed attacks, and kidnapping. Protect farmers tending their fields, children traveling to school, and families working to meet their daily needs. Comfort those who have lost loved ones to violence, bring healing to the injured, and provide shelter and support for those forced from their homes.

As preparations for the 2027 elections continue, we ask for peace throughout the political process. Give election officials honesty and diligence, voters discernment, and candidates a sincere commitment to serve. Restrain intimidation, division, and violence, and help citizens participate safely.

We also pray that opportunities in Nigeria’s energy sector will bring meaningful benefits to ordinary households. May the nation’s resources be managed responsibly, creating work, improving essential services, and easing the burden on families struggling to provide food, education, and care.

Father, strengthen Your Church in Nigeria. Give believers courage to remain faithful to Your Word, compassion to care for their neighbors, and endurance amid hardship. Equip churches to comfort the grieving, support affected families, and proclaim the hope of Jesus Christ.

In Jesus’ name, Amen.🙏

Calling yourself a Christian is not the same as surrendering your life to Jesus Christ.

God’s Word does not call us to make peace with sin, redefine it, or excuse rebellion. He calls us to repentance, faith, and a life surrendered to the Lordship of Jesus Christ.

What happens when a culture makes itself the highest authority?

When we reject God’s Truth, we begin shaping right and wrong around our own desires. Pride takes the place of humility, and the pursuit of power overtakes our willingness to surrender to the Lord.

Dr. Michael Youssef’s warning reaches beyond ancient Babylon. It calls us to examine what we are building today and who sits at the center of it.

An End-Times Warning for the Modern-Day Church (Part 6): The Throne Revealed

In The Throne Revealed, Dr. Michael Youssef calls believers to lift their eyes from the troubles of this world and fix their hearts on the eternal Kingdom of God.
