Road Trip Home Animal Rescue

Road Trip Home Animal Rescue Saving shelter animals from euthanasia and helping them find forever homes in the north. Contact us at [email protected].

Road Trip Home Rescue is a non profit 501 (c) 3 no-kill organization founded in 2012 with the intent to rescue dogs and cats from high-kill shelters in Georgia. After proper vetting and socialization, we transport them to the Northeast where there is a shortage of adoptable pets. There they find loving, forever homes.

Brownie (now Georgia )is living her best life and very loved!❤️🐾
Hi all!
Please see some pictures of Georgia attached. Some updates on her life:
She went to get a professional bath and a clean up around her face and feet yesterday. The groomer said she did amazing and loves her! She has an appointment for a full groom at the beginning of June.
She starts a Basic Family Manners training class at the shelter I adopted her from in the beginning of June. From there, I would love for her to take the Good Citizen class!
She has a brother, our other dog, Baxter, who is a boxer/bulldog mix and is 10. They get along great (you can see him in one of the pictures)
She had her first boating experience with us - we have a boat on Sebago Lake. She was a bit nervous at first but then seemed to like it once she realized she could lounge around and just hang out with us!
She loves going for walks on the woods trails across from our house in the mornings and around the neighborhoods near us in the afternoons
She went to her first vet appointment today to get established as a new patient - we are taking her to the same vet my pug, Pumba went to before he passed and I loved. Dr. Ring loves her and thinks she is so special! She said everything looks great and she got her lyme vaccine.
Thank you again for all you do!

We are so happy for Heather !
She has found her forever family!!❤️🐾
My son and I adopted her on July 5 from Cape Ann animal shelter in Gloucester, Massachusetts. She is absolutely the sweetest pup. She wins the hearts of anyone she meets. She has many dog friends and loves to play with the big ones.

FOSTER SECURED 😎 Hello! We are looking for someone to foster this little 8 pound puppy. A little boy named Rooster. Hopefully he will only need to be fostered until June 10 depending on transport space.
(If you’re new to our page - we do not adopt out dogs & cats in our program. We are a transport only rescue meaning every two weeks we transport our fosters to partner shelters in Maine and Massachusetts.)

Cuteness Alert!

Our new foster cat, Bobble, is waiting to find his forever family. We’ve been told this 3-year old boy is as sweet as they come - he’s chill, relaxed and loves to give forehead boops. More info coming soon - come say hi and fall in love! 🐈

Want to adopt? Fill out an online application through PAWS Atlanta. Link is in the comments. 💛

Look at this sweet baby living his best life with his forever family!!😍RTH brought our beloved Beagle mix to us in Maine and we adopted him the same day we saw his picture on the shelter website!! That was on January 16th 2023 and he was 4 years old. Apparently he had been living on the streets in the state of Georgia for some time, when a good samaritan picked him up and put him into a local shelter there, thin and dirty. Thank you for saving him and bringing him safely North. His name was Blogger, but we changed it to Buddy. Now he is 7 years old and in his forever home with us! He goes on a couple of trail walks every day and to the great dog park near us each day, too, where he has many friends! Thank you for rescuing so many dogs and cats from their unhappy, uncared for lives!! Here are some pictures of Buddy!
