The National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences Southeast Chapter is a professional association dedicated to media excellence serving Alabama, Georgia, Mississippi, South Carolina and Asheville, NC. The Regional Southeast EMMY® Chapter is one of 19 chapters throughout the United States identifying and celebrating television excellence at the local and regional level of The National Academy of

Television Arts & Sciences. Our Chapter represents television professionals from all disciplines of the industry and from each of our markets, Alabama, Georgia, Mississippi, South Carolina and Asheville, NC.

Sam Crenshaw ⭐️
Silver Circle

Emmy-winning sports journalist Sam Crenshaw currently serves as a sports anchor with CBS Atlanta. A familiar face to Atlanta sports fans, Sam is known for his decades of coverage, deep knowledge of the local sports community and dedication to athletes and teams across the region.

A Birmingham native and University of West Georgia graduate, Sam’s career has included roles at WXIA-TV, WFMY-TV and WRDW-TV, along with college football and basketball coverage for ESPN.

A longtime tennis advocate, Sam has hosted USTA Southern’s “Talking Tennis Southern Style” podcast and “Matchpoint Atlanta,” received the USTA Media Excellence Award and currently serves on the board of USTA Georgia.

This is a special one! It’s my first “solo” Emmy. I use the word solo loosely though because live shots are a team effort. So here’s a shout out to the photojournalists for their hustle, commitment, and willingness to put up with my crazy ideas (like making snow angels on live tv 📺)!

DeLoris is the Assistant News Director at WTVM News Leader 9 and WXTX Fox54 in Columbus, Georgia, and an award-winning journalist with nearly 30 years of experience in radio and television news.

Her career has taken her from newsrooms across the Southeast along with teaching journalism at Alabama State University and Auburn University. She brings a wealth of experience, insight and industry knowledge to the Board.

A fantastic and productive week in Denver representing the Southeast Chapter of the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences! ✨

Board President Tracey Rogers, Executive Director Janice Epperson and Awards Chair Sharleta Castleberry Stamps joined representatives from all 19 regional chapters for national meetings focused on collaboration, innovation and the future of our organization.

From updates to Emmy® Express and the awards process to exchanging ideas with colleagues from across the country, it was a valuable week of connection and conversation.

Our team is returning home inspired and excited about what’s ahead for the Southeast Chapter and our continued mission to recognize excellence in television and digital media across our region.
