SERIES 4: THE AGED OUT

Some youth turn 18 and lose the only system they’ve ever known.
No safety net. No stable support. No roadmap for what comes next.

When survival becomes the priority, exploitation often follows.
Behind every statistic is a real person trying to make it another day.

This week in our “You Might Not See It” awareness series, we’re shedding light on the increased vulnerabilities faced by youth aging out of foster care.

Awareness matters. Prevention matters. Support matters.

Series 3 of 4Sarah’s “You Might Not See It” Awareness Campaign shines a light on something many people overlook… exploitation happens to boys too. 💙

Many boys suffer in silence because of shame, fear, manipulation, threats, or the belief that no one will believe them. Their pain may look different, but it is just as real.

Every child deserves safety.
Every story deserves to be heard.
Every survivor deserves support.

As we continue this 6-week online awareness experience, we invite you to help us break the silence, challenge the stereotypes, and create safer spaces for survivors to speak up.

Please help us spread awareness by sharing this post and following along each week as we continue to reveal the hidden realities of exploitation.

If you or someone you know needs help, support is available.

SERIES 2: THE RUNAWAY

A kid. Not a choice.

When many people hear the word “runaway,” they picture rebellion or bad decisions. But for so many youth, running isn’t about freedom… It’s about survival.

Some run from abuse.
Some run from neglect.
Some run because home no longer feels safe.

And when vulnerability meets desperation, traffickers are often waiting.

“She didn’t run away. She ran out of safe choices.”

As part of 4Sarah’s 6-week “You Might Not See It” Awareness Experience, this series shines a light on the hidden vulnerabilities that often lead to exploitation and trafficking.

Because these are not just stories.
These are realities happening every day.

Follow along each week as we reveal another series and help educate our community on the signs, risks, and realities of exploitation.

Learn the signs.
Speak up.
Support survivors.
Be the safe place.

🚨 SERIES 1: THE SILENCE 🚨

Not every child who is hurting will say the words out loud.

Some stay silent because they’re scared.
Some feel shame.
Some don’t even understand what’s happening to them.
And some have learned that no one notices anyway.

But silence does not mean consent.
And silence does not mean they are okay.

Child abuse and unresolved trauma are some of the leading risk factors connected to exploitation and trafficking. When pain is ignored, predators often step in.

This week kicks off Series 1-4 of 4Sarah’s “You Might Not See It” 6-Week Online Awareness Experience — a campaign designed to help people recognize the hidden struggles that often exist behind exploitation.

💜 Follow along each week as we reveal a series of dolls and share the deeper stories behind vulnerability, trauma, exploitation, survival, and hope.

Because awareness can change lives.
Because someone should notice.
Because every child deserves to be safe.

Today, 4Sarah is officially launching our new 6-week online awareness series: **“You Might Not See It.”**

Each week, we will introduce several doll stories representing hidden realities connected to exploitation, trafficking, abuse, vulnerability, and survival. Many victims don’t “look” like what people expect — and that’s exactly why awareness matters.

Our first doll series kicks off tomorrow, and we invite you to follow along, share the posts, start conversations, and help us shine light on stories that are often ignored or misunderstood.

Together, we can help people recognize the signs, support survivors, and create safer communities.

Please help us spread awareness by sharing this series with others and following 4Sarah throughout the next 6 weeks.

🩷 Some stories are hidden. Let’s bring them to light.

A huge thank you to the incredible ladies' group at Crossroads United Methodist Church in Conyers for opening your hearts to 4Sarah. Not only did you allow me to come and share the story behind our mission, but you also showed up in a tangible way, collecting many much-needed items for our Assessment Home. They even blessed me with a delicious slice of pound cake made special by Ms. Nancy! 💕

This is a prime example of WHY law enforcement agencies should stop using the term 'runaway' to describe missing children.

In a matter of hours, a young person who leaves their home (despite the reason), can find themselves trapped in a dark place they can't escape.

Regardless of the reason they leave, many children quickly realize the dangers and horrors of what's awaiting on the streets.

Predators are waiting. They see vulnerabilities. They'll promise to fulfill that vulnerability. And just like that, a child is forced into human trafficking or in a situation that becomes hard to leave.

The Anderson County Sheriff's Office SC announced hours ago the arrest of two men, one who is accused of offering a 15-year-old child a place to stay while abusing her along with a second grown man.

Housing/shelter is a big vulnerability when it comes to a child being on the streets.

Charles Galloway, 42, of Pendleton, s*xually assaulted the child several times according to investigators.

Shaun Wilson, 43, Greenville, is the suspect who allegedly offered his home up to the child, while at the same time also s*xually assaulted her according to investigators.

A judge denied both men bond.
