September has been full of glimpses of what God is doing.

In East Africa, a marketplace becomes a pulpit. 60 people hear the Gospel. 15 confess Christ as Lord. A man who struggled with alcohol for years is now worshipping with his wife and reading an audio Bible in his own language. In the Horn of Africa, Frehiwot kept a vow she made to God during wartime. Today she has planted a church and is discipling vulnerable women in a region scarred by trauma. In restricted regions, Hussian found the Gospel on Facebook, came to faith through WhatsApp conversations, and was baptized. 56 other believers followed in one year through the same kind of outreach. This is what God is doing.

In one community in East Africa, a man had struggled with chronic alcohol abuse for years. The ministry team did not run a program for him. They showed up. They visited his home. They offered him work opportunities so he could provide for his family. They shared the Word of God, not just once, but consistently, over time. Slowly, he became open to the Gospel.

Now he and his wife attend a fellowship together, hearing the Word taught regularly. They have received an audio Bible in their local language. They are falling deeply in love with the things of God. The transformation in their household is visible to the entire neighborhood.

This is how Gospel movements spread in hard places, not through campaigns or programs, but through faithful, patient, trusted relationships. One family at a time. One neighborhood at a time. Partners comes alongside leaders who understand this.

This week we are praying for the leaders working in restricted regions. These are places where traditional ministry access is nearly impossible. Where the Gospel travels through WhatsApp conversations rather than open church buildings. Where new believers like Hussian take their first steps of faith quietly, in communities where following Jesus carries real risk. God is moving.

People are finding Christ. Discovery Bible Studies are multiplying in places that seemed closed. Pray with us this week for leaders navigating highly restricted regions, for wisdom, protection, and sustained access; for new believers like Hussian, that they would be rooted, discipled, and connected to community; and for the networks God is drawing together, that they would be stronger together than any one of them could be alone.

Asma never thought of herself as brave.

At 27, she was practicing the Muslim faith of her family, never really questioning what she had been taught about God.

Then a missionary patiently answered her questions. They began to pray together. As they prayed, she felt a release from an evil spirit that had gripped her for years. Her health began to improve, including healing from diabetes.

“Now I am healed and free from an evil spirit. Jesus must be the true Savior.”

Her decision came at a cost. In her community, being a Christian carries extreme risk. Many practice their faith in secret.

Asma refused to be silent.

Two women and two men witnessed the transformation in her life and responded: “If Asma is converted and saved, we will also accept the Lord Jesus.”

All four did. All five are now being discipled together.

Pray for Asma. Pray for the new believers. Pray for the missionary and his family serving in this volatile region.

Trust is the foundation of everything Partners does. Local leaders do not invite just anyone into their work, they invite people who have proven, over years and decades, that they are there to serve.

Partners has been building those relationships since 1943 through trusted, long-term presence. Because of that trust, something remarkable happens: leaders invite Partners into strategic collaboration. Networks connect across regions. Movements that were isolated become stronger together. This is unity without uniformity, open-handed leaders putting everything on the table for the sake of God's harvest, not their own credit or control. This is how the Gospel goes further than any one person or organization could take it alone.

He was scrolling Facebook in a highly restricted region of Africa when a simple message appeared on his screen: Would you like to know about Jesus Christ?

Hussian had not been looking for this. But something made him stop. Weeks of Gospel conversations and Discovery Bible Studies over WhatsApp followed. Hussian gave his life to Christ and was baptized. In a single year, 56 believers were baptized from one unreached people group through this same kind of digital outreach.

Discovery Bible Studies are now happening through WhatsApp in regions where traditional outreach is nearly impossible. This is what it looks like when God moves through every available space, even a phone screen in a restricted region.

This week, we are praying for the Horn of Africa.

This is a region marked by conflict, displacement, and trauma. It is also a region where God is moving in remarkable ways, through leaders like Frehiwot, who planted a church after making a desperate vow to God during wartime and now uses her business to disciple vulnerable women and reach her neighbors with the hope of Christ. She is not an exception. She is one of many.

Pray with us this week for Frehiwot and leaders like her, for protection, provision, and continued boldness; for the women they are discipling, that they would be equipped and empowered to lead others; and for open doors in communities still waiting to hear the Gospel.

This week, we are praying for East and West Africa. This region is marked by political unrest, persecution, and deep poverty. Conflict and instability continue to hinder Gospel access in many communities. God is moving. In one community, a ministry team turns marketplace encounters into Gospel conversations. Children gather on Saturday mornings to learn the Scriptures. A man who struggled with alcohol for years is now attending a fellowship with his wife, reading an audio Bible in his own language. This is what happens when trusted local leaders stay faithful in hard places. Pray with us this week for protection and endurance for leaders serving in East and West Africa, open doors in communities where the Gospel has not yet taken root, and the continued growth of disciple-making movements across this region. And the Lord added to their number daily those who were being saved. Acts 2:47
