Why do Walmart and Sam's Club associates across Oklahoma support Children's Miracle Network?

From helping fund life-changing research to supporting specialized care and programs that help children thrive, every dollar raised stays local to support Oklahoma kids and families. For some associates, it's even more personal. They've seen firsthand how these funds impact children in their own communities and the lives of families they know.

As this year's Children's Miracle Network campaign continues, we're grateful for the associates who are sharing their why, giving their time, and helping create brighter futures for Oklahoma's bravest kids.

🎈🎈🎈What started with a simple paper balloon and one determined hospital employee has grown into a fundraising tradition that has raised millions for children across North America.

Today, every Miracle Balloon purchased helps support life-changing care, research, and programs for kids when they need it most. Thank you to the partners, associates, and donors who continue to make miracles possible, one balloon at a time. 🫶

In 1986, the miracle balloon was born! 🎈 After being repeatedly told "no" by other business owners, Eleanor Lancey, a hospital employee, convinced O’Rourke’s Diner in Middletown, CT, to sell paper balloons bearing a hospital’s name in exchange for donations for Connecticut Children's. Nearly forty years later, in 2025, Miracle Balloon Campaigns accounted for over $86 million in donations! 💛💙

⛳What a great day on the course for Oklahoma kids!

A huge thank you to everyone who participated in the Annual Walmart & Friends Children's Miracle Network Golf Tournament last week. Thanks to the support of 25 incredible teams, along with our generous sponsors, dedicated volunteers, and enthusiastic participants, the tournament was a tremendous success.

Your support helps make a difference for children and families across Oklahoma, providing critical care, programs, and resources when they need them most.

A special thank you to Miracle Child Matthew for joining us and representing why this mission is so important. His story is a reminder of the impact your support has on local children and families every day.

A new 7 Brew Coffee is opening at 2nd Street and Kelley in Edmond, and they’re celebrating with a great cause!

This weekend, stop by for Caffeine for a Cause, where you can pay what you’d like for a small coffee or energy drink. Every dollar raised will benefit Oklahoma Children’s Health Foundation and help support local children and families.

A special visitor stopped by Sam’s Club 6779 in Moore!

Miracle Child Josie joined associates to help kick off this year’s Children’s Miracle Network campaign and share the impact these efforts have on Oklahoma children and families.

The Comets do a fantastic job of creating a welcoming and inclusive experience for all fans. The sensory room offers a calm, quiet space for those who may need a break from the sights and sounds of game day, while the playground provides a fun place for young fans to play.

🍀💙💛A huge thank you to Payne County 4-H and FFA members, community leaders, and supporters for making this year's Change4Change Challenge a success!

For the third year in a row, this fun, youth-led fundraiser brought the community together to support Oklahoma Children's Health Foundation. Through spare change, cash, and check donations collected during the Payne County Junior Livestock Show, participants raised $337.49 to help improve the health and well-being of children across Oklahoma.

Congratulations to Perkins 4-H and FFA for raising the most donations and earning this year's pie-in-the-face bragging rights!
