We are excited to welcome Austin Harkey to our Board of Directors!
Austin Harkey is a public policy and nonprofit leader with experience in legislative affairs, public engagement, and mission-driven advocacy. He currently serves as Legislative Affairs Manager for the Oklahoma Council of Public Affairs, where he leads the organization’s engagement with lawmakers, builds strategic relationships at the Capitol, tracks legislation, and advances key policy initiatives. In this role, he helped champion and pass a major tax reform bill aimed at lowering Oklahoma’s tax burden and supporting long-term economic growth.
Previously, Austin served as Assistant Executive Director for the Oklahoma Catholic Conference, the public policy voice of the Archdiocese of Oklahoma City and Diocese of Tulsa, where he worked closely with legislators and community leaders to advance policies supporting the common good across the state.
Austin holds a Bachelor of Arts in Nonprofit and Public Management from the University of Oklahoma and has participated in several leadership development programs focused on education policy, governance, and public leadership. A committed community servant, he has volunteered with numerous organizations supporting families, children, and those in need throughout Oklahoma.
