Today, we celebrate the launch of Sweetwater Mission's Construction Ready onsite training cohort, as highlighted by WSB-TV Atlanta. By bringing training directly into the community, this partnership is helping individuals overcome barriers, gain valuable construction industry skills, earn credentials, and connect to employment opportunities.

Together, Sweetwater Mission, Construction Ready, WorkSource Cobb, and community partners are building more than careers. We're building hope, economic mobility, and a stronger workforce for our region.

🏆 AND THE WINNERS ARE… 🏆
A big congratulations to Mableton Improvement Coalition (MIC) — Elizabeth Akers, Troy Refuge, and Joel Cope for taking home the win at this year’s Are You Smarter Than a 10-Year-Old?
They outwitted, outplayed, and outlasted the other five teams to claim the top spot! And trust us the competition was fierce. The evening was packed with laughs, friendly rivalry, quick thinking, and just the right amount of good-natured banter.
Our host, Bradie Speller, kept the questions coming, the teams guessing, and the audience laughing and engaged from start to finish.
But that’s the AYS way: the points may determine who takes home the trophy, but it’s the people, connections, community, and shared moments that make this event truly special.
And we’re not finished celebrating just yet!
The Spirit Award and Principal Award will be announced tomorrow!
