🤓 Mochi is a Genius pt 2! 🤩

Check this out.. this is Day 2 of her learning to "Touch" different items, and she is already learning to "Take"! 😮

Parents!! The kids are home from school and bored and looking for something to do... 🤔

🎀 Pals in Bows- Baby Pal edition! 🎀

And just a little update on Nika's status..

Pals we have received mountains of applications for this little girl! If you have submitted, please be patient! Our regularly small team was down to 1 last week, and we are trying to catch up and keep up with everything. So just know that yes, we got your application if you received a confirmation! 👍

Also, please remember that there is only one little Nika, and almost 50 applications for her.. 🤯

We have our work cut out for us, so many of them look great! This will not be easy...

The good news is, we have other Pals looking for homes, too! Even some other little scruffy ones! 😍

🤓 Mochi is a Genius! 🤓

Pals, check out Mochi playing a little game with her ⭐️Fabulous Foster⭐️, where she learned not only the "Touch" command immediately, but also started learning which object to touch! 🤩

This was the first day her fab foster ever tried this! Watch to the end to see her earn her trophy! 😉

So, let's just review all this good girl has to offer:

✅️ Smart!!!!
✅️ Loves all people!
✅️ Housetrained!
✅️ Currently living in apt perfectly!
✅️ Non-destructive!
✅️ Loves to go for walks!
✅️ Playful yet mature at 7 yrs old!
✅️ Easy!!!

All of that! YET....... she has now been with us for 4️⃣2️⃣4️⃣ days!!! 🤯

Mochi is a fantastic dog, and she deserves a forever home and family that will love and care for her as she enters her golden years. 💛

She lived with many dogs just fine in the past, but can be reactive on leash with ones she doesn't know. The easiest home that she would truly be turnkey for would be if there were no other dogs.

BUT... if you already have a dog and are willing to go slow and let her acclimate, we expect that she could be fine with a doggy sibling as she has been in the past! 🐶🐶

Either way, this pretty girl is READY for her very own family! 🥹🙏

💇‍♂️🩺Busy Day for Bentley!🩺💇‍♂️

First of all, his ⭐️Fabulous Fosters⭐️ let us know that his name is now: Hank! ✅️

Next, it was off to Shampoochies Dog Grooming! Hank couldn't see with all that hair in his eyes, and they were kind enough to donate a trim for him - nails, too! 💅

Soon after that, he headed off to Hog Mountain Animal Hospital to get checked out and for an ultrasound! 👨‍⚕️

The good news is, they didn't find too much of concern! We were very surprised (and happy for Hank!) that no bladder or kidney stones were found based on initial tests! 🤷🏻‍♀️

There may be some inflammation going on, but signs are mostly pointing to one diagnosis that is causing any results that are off: obesity. 😕

Hank weighs in at about 27 lbs, and they say he should be around 15 max! That is a huge amount to be over by for a little guy. 🥺

Thankfully, Fab Fosters are an active family, and Hank is gonna be going on lots of walks to get down to a healthy weight! They will be taking it slowly and letting him build up to it, because he does get winded pretty quickly in his current state.

BUT.. we are hopeful that with a good regimen of a lower calorie diet and steady exercise, this little Pal will recover his good health! 🙏🦮🚶‍♀️🍎

He is going to go back to re-check everything in 1 month, and we can't wait to compare his labs.. and the scale!

Ideally we will wait til after that appointment for his adoption.

However... IF you can convince us that you are ready, willing, and able to follow his diet and exercise plan without fail *every day*, we may allow him to go to his forever home early. We just want to get this guy in great shape so he can have a long and happy life. 😊

And speaking of happy... Hank is HAPPY! He is a super sweet little guy who has his fab fosters laughing, loving him, and having nothing but wonderful things to say about him! 🥰

Hank is estimated at 6 years old, loves everyone, and is *dying* to meet and play with his doggy foster siblings, so seems to be dog friendly, as much as we can glean from that. 🐶❤️🐶

🌞 Good Morning, Pals! 🌞

We signed off last night with the adorable Dixie-n-Foster-Sis spooning, and now we're waking up with adorable, always sunshiney Cheesestick!!

Seriously, this little Pal has not stopped smiling and wagging his tail, even after being hit by a car, having his femur ripped out of the socket, ending up at the shelter, hobbling around in pain waiting for surgery, going through the surgery, and now in recovery!! Wagged his way through all of it!! 🥹

He loves EvErYoNe, *especially* kids!!!!! And other dogs!!!!!! 🥰

I can't imagine there is anyone in the world who couldn't benefit from looking down every day and seeing this little face attached to that little body, wiggling all over with the force of his tail wags! 😂

In the words of his ⭐️Fabulous Foster⭐️ : He is PERFECT!

This is a fab foster who has had a LOT of fosters! She knows what she's talking about!! LISTEN TO HER! 💯

So, if you want your very own little ray of sunshine that will cheer you up every day, all day, even when you don't need cheering up (he can still do it! 😅), you should really submit an application for Cheesestick!

We are hoping for a home with KIDS cuz he loves 'em! Another dog would be great, too, if you've got one! (If not.. we can help with that! 😂)

📣💖 New Pal Alert!! 💖📣

Alright, I *promise* we did not just suddenly become a Yorkie rescue... 🤣

It's just that... we saw this other little (not so little!) guy getting a medical plea at Gwinnett, and one of our veteran ⭐️Fabulous Fosters⭐️ offered to take him in if we could get him.... 🥹

Soooooo.........

Please join us in welcoming Pal # 2️⃣8️⃣5️⃣ : BENTLEY!

But don't get used to that name, because I'm told by fab foster that it IS changing, and what fab foster wants, fab foster gets!! 😂

More on that later...

For now, this chubby boy is lounging around his new (temp) wonderful home, and we are receiving 🏆RAVE🏆 reviews about his temperament and behavior!! ❤️

Car, perfect! Leash, perfect! Bath, perfect! Playful, yep! Happy, oh yeah! Affectionate, YES! 😍

Now we just need to find out what's going on with him medically. 🥺

He weighs in at 28 lbs (!), and he definitely needs further diagnostics (bloodwork, ultrasound, etc) to look into results so far that could indicate endocrine issues, bladder/kidney stones, and liver function issues. 😟

The good news is that he is a HAPPY, SWEET boy who is feeling no pain, and his opinion is that absolutely nothing is wrong!! 🥹

Whatever it is, we will find out and we will get him as healthy as we can! We're gonna start with a diet and exercise program, I'll tell you that, and who knows, maybe that will make all the difference!! 🙏❤️‍🩹

Speaking of which.... we are definitely going to have some vet bills coming in for this guy, so if anyone would like to donate - seriously ONE dollar helps, no amount is too small! - we would be so grateful!

📣💖 New Pal Alert! 💖📣

Are you ready for this? We're not sure you're gonna be able to handle the cuteness, honestly, but we're throwing caution to the wind and hoping you will find a way to get through it! 😂

This not quite 3 month old, ~4 lb absolute sweetheart of a Yorki-poo is sooooooooo cute!!!!! She is a snuggly little wiggler who loves everyone!!! 🥰

Nika originally came from one of those "online puppy brokers".. seems pretty shady to us, and a great way for backyard breeders to cash in on puppies.... but, that's just our initial reaction without having looked into the specific business ... 😒👎

Now, she is safe and loved by us and her ⭐️Fabulous Foster⭐️ family - who we are grateful to for taking her in, as always - as our newest Baby Pal! 🥰

Since Nika was sold without being spayed 😤, we will certainly be getting that done asap!!

Then we will find the very best forever home for her. 🙏🩷

If you are considering applying for this little doll, please sit back and take a breath, and consider the following:

1. Nika is not an *actual* little doll, though she certainly looks like one! 😉 She is a very young puppy, and like any other very young puppy she will need training, she will chew stuff up, she will p*e on your rug, she will need supervision, socialization, lots of attention, plenty of mental and physical exercise, someone home the majority of the day, all so that she can get off to a great start and live a long and happy life! Even though she is tiny, she IS still a real live dog! Are you prepared to give her all that she will need? 🤔

2. Nika is going to need grooming throughout her entire lifetime to keep her coat healthy, and to keep her happy and comfortable! Are you prepared to take on the additional expense of a groomer, on top of normal vet care? 🤔

3. Nika is hopefully going to live for an average of 15 years! Who knows? Maybe 20! Think about where you will be in 15 years... Are you able to commit to her for her entire lifetime? 🤔

We know we are going to get a zillion applications for her. We will go through them all, and do our best to find the home that we think will be able to answer "Yes!" to all of those questions. 🙏

If you already know that you *can't* answer yes to any or all of those questions, we would love to help you find the Pal who would be right for you! Maybe an older dog? A low maintenance coat dog?
