❤️ NEGRIL PUP RESCUE — THE WORK CONTINUES, AND WE STILL NEED YOUR HELP! ❤️🐾

After last year’s devastating Hurricane Melissa, we were fortunate enough to relocate many of our rescue dogs off the island and give them a chance at a new beginning. While this was an incredible accomplishment, our work here in Negril is far from over. 🇯🇲🐶

Today, 30 dogs and 2 cats still call Negril Pup Rescue home, where Dominique and Les continue to provide them with the love, food, shelter, and care they deserve.

🐾 Did you know?

🥣 Our food bill alone is approximately $78,000 JMD ($491.74 USD) per WEEK!!!

🐕 That doesn’t include veterinary expenses, medications, emergency care, or the many other costs of keeping the rescue running.

❤️ And beyond the animals living at the rescue, we continue to help feed and care for dogs throughout the Negril community.

Unfortunately, our monthly donations have dropped significantly while our expenses continue to add up.

We understand that times are tough for so many people right now. We know everyone has their own financial responsibilities, and we are truly grateful for every person who has supported us.

But the reality is that even though many of our dogs have left the island, the need for Negril Pup Rescue has not gone away.

🎄❤️ As we approach the end of the year, if you are considering making a charitable donation, please consider Negril Pup Rescue.

Your generosity helps us continue doing what we do every single day — caring for the animals who have nowhere else to turn.

If you’re unable to donate, sharing this post is another wonderful way to help!

From Dominique, Les, and all the paws at Negril Pup Rescue, THANK YOU for continuing to believe in our mission. ❤️🇯🇲🐾

Now we are up to 30 dogs and 2 cats! Please welcome Pearl.
This beautiful sweet girl belonged to an older neighbour woman and we have been helping feed her for a long time. Well, the owner died and Pearl was alone. We continued feeding her for months, always keeping an eye on her, and hoped she would find a new home in the area but it didn’t happen. Neighbours have been telling us that Pearl is getting into mischief and needs somewhere safe asap. We could not let anything bad happen to Pearl so we took her home on Sunday.

This baby boy came to us on Sunday, all the way from Montego Bay! Some tourists were being driven to their Air B&B and when they got there, they could hear crying coming from the engine bay! Justin, crawled under the car and was able to retrieve little Samson! Poor baby is so young, without a mom, hardly any fur, mangey, fungus on his skin, anemic, full of fleas and, ticks in his ears. Amazing he survived a engine bay car drive! Once he is healed and at least 6 months old, he will travel to the US to his new home with Justin’s aunt.
An interesting tidbit, the driver is from Montego Bay and he knew us from bringing our dogs to the airport last year after the hurricane. His name is Ricko.
