✨ Student Spotlight: Khariya ✨

We’re so excited to shine this week’s spotlight on Khariya! Khariya has been taking voice lessons with Mason Music Foundation for just two months, and she’s already bringing so much joy, creativity, and personality into every class. Her love for music is impossible to miss, and watching her confidence grow each week has been such a gift.

When asked what she loves most about singing, Khariya’s answer was simple: she just loves it. Honestly, that kind of pure joy is exactly what music is all about. 💛

One of her favorite parts of lessons with Mrs. Julianne is singing “Do Re Mi,” practicing fun animal sentences, and learning with a teacher who she says is “really fun and nice!” Right now, Khariya is continuing to build her confidence as a singer while working on the “Do Re Mi” song in lessons.

Outside of music, Khariya loves drawing, building with blocks and puzzles at school, playing with toys in her room, and spending time with her family. And her future plans? Just a casual combination of becoming both a singer and a doctor, which honestly sounds like a pretty incredible plan to us. She also dreams of writing her own music and performing in front of people one day.

We are so proud of the confidence, creativity, and joy Khariya is already showing through music, and we can’t wait to watch her continue to grow. 🎤

🎹 Student Spotlight: Kaleb 🎹

We’re excited to shine this week’s spotlight on Kaleb! 🌟
Kaleb has been taking piano lessons at Mason Music Foundation for a little over a year, and he already brings so much personality, creativity, and energy to everything he plays. When asked what he loves most about music, his answer was simple: “playing notes in harmony.” Honestly, that says it all—he’s already discovering the joy of how music comes together.

One of Kaleb’s favorite parts of lessons with Mr. Nabeel is how supportive and engaging they are. As he puts it, his teacher is “super nice and funny” and helps him learn the notes in a way that makes piano feel approachable and fun. That kind of environment is where real growth happens.

Right now, Kaleb is working on Runaway River while continuing to build his foundational skills at the piano. With each lesson, he’s developing not just technique, but confidence and a deeper connection to music.

Outside of the studio, Kaleb’s curiosity shines in other ways too. Science is his favorite subject, and he loves experimenting and figuring out how things work. He’s also a creator at heart, making videos, drawing, and exploring digital art on the computer.

Looking ahead, Kaleb dreams of becoming either a scientist or a YouTuber, and he’s already taking steps toward both. One of his biggest musical goals is to play piano at church someday, and with his dedication and imagination, he’s well on his way.

We’re so proud to have Kaleb as part of the Mason Music Foundation family. His creativity and enthusiasm are exactly what make this community so special. 🎶✨

In case you missed it… 👀☕🎶

Cala Coffee teamed up with The Brook & The Bluff to celebrate their new album Werewolf with a special Werewolf Blend and it supports Mason Music Foundation.

It’s a bright, fruit-forward coffee with notes of red fruit and strawberry yogurt… and 100% of profits go toward providing music lessons for students in our community.
So yes, it tastes great—but it also does real good.

Drink good coffee. Support good music. Help the next generation find their sound.
Grab a bag and be part of it.

🎤 Student Spotlight: Natalie 🎤

We’re excited to shine the spotlight on Natalie! 🌟

Natalie has been taking voice lessons for five years, beginning her journey with Ms. Marvina and continuing to grow each week. She loves singing because it’s fun and gives her a way to truly express herself, something we see in every lesson.

One of her favorite parts about working with Ms. Tiffany is how much her confidence has grown. That kind of growth doesn’t stay in the studio—it carries into school, friendships, and so many other parts of life.

Right now, Natalie is working on “A Journey to the Past” while focusing on strengthening her breathing technique so she can hold notes longer and sing with greater control. It’s the kind of steady, intentional work that leads to real progress.
Outside of music, Natalie enjoys dancing and is even teaching herself Korean. In school, math is her favorite subject because she finds it both interesting and approachable, another place where her confidence shines.

Looking ahead, Natalie dreams of becoming a singer and dancer. She’s already taking steps toward that goal as part of a band with her friends and her sister, with hopes of one day traveling the world together on tour.

We love watching Natalie grow—not just as a musician, but as a confident and creative young person. This is exactly what music education is all about. Keep going, Natalie. We’re cheering you on every step of the way. 🎶✨
