The Birmingham Summer Institute (BSI) staff knows that our students need opportunities to move and let out all their energy! We offer many athletic activities each week such as basketball, soccer, tennis, football, field day, and others. Our physical health is just as important as our mental health and academic learning! We employ two coaches to design physical and athletic lessons for our students, even incorporating math and reading into how they teach sports! We are always looking for creative ways to learn at BSI!!

Birmingham Summer Institute is a summer camp sponsored by College Admissions Made Possible (CAMP) for students entering 3rd through 8th grades in the Birmingham area and beyond! The mission of BSI is to empower students to become agents of change in their community and in the world. BSI will take place at Holy Family Cristo Rey High School, from June 15 to July 24 from 7:30am to 3:00pm each day. With the upcoming release of Toy Story 5 (and a field trip to see the movie), we are excited to announce our theme of "To Infinity and Beyond!"

Students will participate in literacy, math, STEAM, and Social Emotional Learning activities, as well as a wide variety of extracurricular opportunities such as: field trips, tennis, drum circle, chess, writing, TaeKwonDo, Karate, arts and crafts, theater, music, and many more. The total cost of the camp is $250, which includes breakfast, lunch and snack each day, all field trips and activities, and a BSI t-shirt.
