Hope's Place Child Advocacy Center Hope’s Place actively seeks to reduce the occurrence of sexual abuse and heighten awareness through prevention education.

We are the Child Advocacy Center for the FIVCO region of Kentucky and Southeastern Ohio who provides free services to survivors impacted by child sexual abuse and their non-offending caregivers. Hope’s Place is a victim-focused, children’s advocacy center that provides a safe atmosphere, lessens trauma and promotes healing by maximizing services through a multi-disciplinary team approach for child victims of sexual abuse. Facts:

Statistics show that 1 in 10 children will be sexually abused by the time they are 18. In other words; 400, 000 babies born this year in the United States will be sexually abused before they turn 18. Children are the victims in 66% of all sexual offenses reported to law enforcement. It is estimated that this crime is severely underreported and that the actual numbers are much higher. Sexual abuse is a genderless crime void of socioeconomic limitations. Studies show up to 90% of children who are victims of sexual abuse know their abuser and 60% of children who are sexually abuse are abused by people the family knows and trusts!

What a privilege it is to meet students of Lawrence County, Ohio!

We are joining forces with some community partners to explain the resources and opportunities that are available in our area. We got to introduce them to world of children’s advocacy. Hope's Place Child Advocacy Center provides services and support to children and caregivers who have survived the trauma of child abuse, free of charge.

We love the opportunity to let children know that they are seen and heard. 💙🩵

It's a great time to set boundaries and talk openly and honestly to your kiddos - and when they speak, listen.

🎃 Halloween safety goes beyond checking the candy.

Between costumes, trick-or-treating, parties, and all the excitement, Halloween is also a good opportunity to remind kids about boundaries, trusted adults, and speaking up when something doesn’t feel right. A few simple conversations can help kids feel safe and supported on Halloween and throughout the year.

Come see Hope’s Place, say hello, and enjoy a fun evening with our community! We’ll be there sharing smiles and treats.🍬

As you celebrate, please help keep the evening safe:
• Choose bright costumes and add reflective tape or glow sticks.
• Make sure masks, hats, and accessories don’t block vision.
• Younger children should always be with a trusted adult, and older children should travel in groups.
• Use crosswalks, look both ways, and keep phones put away while walking.
• Check all treats before children eat them.
• Remind children they can always say no, leave an uncomfortable situation, and tell a trusted adult.

At Hope’s Place, we believe prevention, education, and open conversations help children feel safer, supported, and empowered.
