Today I want to take a moment to celebrate the incredible team behind the Ashland County Cancer Association.

I truly couldn’t do what we do without these dedicated individuals. Every day, they show up with compassion, commitment, and a heart for the people we serve. They work hard behind the scenes, often juggling more than anyone realizes, to make sure our patients and families receive the support they need.

Everyone here at Komen is heartbroken to learn about the passing of Dolly Parton. She was a true friend and a staunch breast cancer advocate. Dolly is a legend whose generosity, compassion and commitment to helping others touched countless lives. She will be deeply missed.

Susie has been part of the Cancer Association in so many ways—as a board member, donor, and cancer survivor. ❤️

We had the opportunity to sit down with her and hear more about her journey, her past, and the meaningful experience of carrying the Olympic torch to bring awareness to rare blood cancers. 🕯️✨

🎉 FOR HE’S A JOLLY GOOD FELLOW! 🎉

We had to pause for a little impromptu celebration to recognize our amazing volunteer driver, Jeffrey! 👏

What was supposed to be a quick one-to-two-hour appointment in Columbus unexpectedly turned into a 13-hour day. Jeffrey didn’t hesitate—he stayed with his client through it all and made sure she had someone there by her side.

Thank you, Jeffrey, for your patience, kindness, and willingness to go the extra mile… or in this case, the extra 11 hours! ❤️🚗

For he’s a jolly good fellow, and we’re so grateful to have him as part of our ACCA family! 🎶👏

❤️ A BIG thank you to Peace Lutheran Church! ❤️

We want to take a moment to give a very special thank you to Peace Lutheran Church for opening their doors and welcoming us for our rummage sale.

From the very beginning, they have been willing to help in whatever capacity was needed, and their kindness, generosity, and willingness to support the Ashland Cancer Association truly means so much to us.

There really aren’t enough words to express how grateful we are for everything they have done. Opening your doors to us was more than just providing a space — it was showing up for our organization and for the families we serve. That kind of support is what makes our community so special. ❤️

Thank you, Peace Lutheran Church, for being there for us and for being such an incredible community partner. We are truly grateful for you! 🙏❤️
