The annual Northern Ohio Arson Seminar, held at the Ashland University's Convocation Center, provides training and education concerning fire investigation. The seminar slogan "Key to Learning Basic Investigative Skills" has been the focus of the Northern Ohio Arson Seminar Board of Directors since the very first seminar held in 1969. The Board of Directors is comprised of 13 dedicated individuals
that represent both full time and volunteer fire services, Law Enforcement, professional private investigative specialists and Insurance Service Investigative Units from around the State of Ohio. The Northern Ohio Arson Seminar has enjoyed a strong and supportive relationship with the Ohio State Fire Marshal and has had the privilege of having many members of OSFM fire investigation unit serving on the Board of Directors. Sponsored by the Ohio Chapter of the International Association of Arson Investigators (IAAI), the 2017 Northern Ohio Arson Seminar will be its 48th meeting.
