David “Snoopy” Bellamy
June 8, 1970 – June 19, 2026
Today, we gather with heavy hearts, but also with gratitude, to celebrate the life of our beloved brother, friend, husband, father, and companion, David “Snoopy” Bellamy.
Snoopy entered this world on June 8, 1970, and for the next fifty-six years, he lived in a way that left an impression on everyone fortunate enough to know him. Though cancer may have claimed his earthly body, it never conquered his spirit. Through every challenge, every hardship, and every difficult day, Snoopy faced life with courage, dignity, and a smile that reminded all of us what strength really looked like.
To many, he was a devoted Master Mason, a proud Shriner, and a respected Widows Son. But titles and affiliations only tell part of the story. What truly defined Snoopy was his heart. He was a man who understood brotherhood—not merely as a word, but as a way of life. He was always willing to lend a hand, offer encouragement, share a laugh, or simply be present when someone needed him.
He cherished the open road and the freedom it represented. Riding wasn't just a pastime; it was where friendships were forged, stories were shared, and memories were made. Whether at a rally, a lodge meeting, or sitting around with friends, Snoopy had a way of making everyone feel welcome. He never met a stranger, and once you became his friend, you became family.
Those who knew him best will remember his sense of humor, his loyalty, and the kindness he showed so freely. He taught us that life's greatest treasures aren't possessions, but relationships. He showed us that strength is measured not by how much we endure alone, but by how deeply we love and how faithfully we stand beside one another.
Though our hearts ache with his passing, we can find comfort in knowing that his suffering has ended and his journey continues in a place where pain and sickness no longer exist. As Masons, we are reminded that death is not the end, but a transition—that we part upon the square, only to meet again upon the level.
Snoopy leaves behind memories that time cannot erase, laughter that still echoes in our hearts, and a legacy of brotherhood, compassion, and love that will endure long after today.
Brother Snoopy, your earthly ride may have ended, but your tracks remain in the hearts of those you touched. We will miss your smile, your stories, your laughter, and your friendship. Though we say farewell for now, we do so with faith and hope, knowing that one day we shall meet again.
Until then, may the Grand Architect of the Universe hold you in His loving embrace.
Ride free, Brother.
Rest easy, Snoopy.
And may perpetual light shine upon you.
Amen
