We want honor Granny sparkles.

Granny sparkles came to us in March of 2024.

Sparkles lost her mom and came into the rescue as a local surrender.

Sparkles was 14. Everything she had known in life had left abruptly. She was scared and confused.

Sparkles went into a very kind and understanding foster home that respected her need for comfort and time to mourn.

Jean with a big heart knew that this little girl needed to know she was home again. She took sparkles in and gave her the best 2 years she had left.

Gene what color her hair to let her know how beautiful she was and the queen she became again.

I'm writing this with tears. They are mixed tears.

There's something so special not only about these dogs having a chance to be loved at such a senior age, But the kindness of those who step up for these situations to allow them the opportunity feel safe and warm arms when they pass.

People don't know how much time they have. They invest this love so strongly and for such a short time. That takes courage. That takes kindness. That takes heart

Sparkles was so happy She lived to be 16. She passed away in the loving the hands of her new mom. Sparkles knew she was loved.

Sparkles is not with her mom that she was with for 14 years.
They are back together again.

I want to give such a big thank you to Jean Matte Duzeski
First stepping up. For loving her. And to give her the most beautiful graces to send her back to her mama.

Gene thank you from the bottom of our hearts for opening your doors and your heart to a girl that needed your love so badly. Thank you for making her comfortable and secure. Thank you for being her mom.

We send you the biggest hugs.

Fly high sparkles.

Local rehome or Foster needed

Jada is a 4-year-old female Pit Bull Terrier who is looking for a new home after the passing of her beloved owner. She has been with her family for approximately 3½ years and is now seeking a patient, understanding adopter who can provide the stability and love she deserves.

Jada is a friendly, affectionate dog who enjoys being around the people she knows and trusts. While she is not overly interested in children, she has been around them without issue and has never shown aggression toward them. She has never bitten a person or caused injury to a person or another animal.

Jada does well with other dogs and cats and has successfully interacted with both. She enjoys socializing with other dogs in appropriate settings and has done well at fenced dog parks. She currently lives with one other dog.

When meeting new people, Jada can be cautious and somewhat fearful, particularly when she is on a leash. She may bark and back away if approached by a stranger while restrained. Once she becomes comfortable, she is friendly and often seeks attention, sometimes greeting people with an enthusiastic jump. Her future family should be prepared to continue building her confidence through positive experiences and consistent training.

Jada is house-trained and knows basic commands such as “sit” and “lay down.” She is intelligent and eager to engage with her people, though she still displays some playful puppy-like behaviors, including occasionally chewing on shoes or other household items if left accessible.

Jada’s history includes being rescued from a dog-fighting situation in Florida. As a result, she is reported to have crate-related trauma and does not do well when confined to a crate. Instead, she is typically managed by being placed in a separate room with the door closed when she cannot be supervised or when visitors, maintenance workers, housekeepers, or other service providers are in the home. This arrangement has worked well for her and allows her to remain comfortable without the stress of crating.

She also appears to have some food-related insecurities and can be possessive of her food during mealtimes. Feeding routines should be managed appropriately, and she would benefit from an owner who understands how to safely handle resource-guarding behaviors.

Jada is a strong and intelligent dog who enjoys spending time with her family. She should be kept on a leash or within a securely fenced area, as she may be inclined to wander if given the opportunity. She is also known for having a dislike of water and generally does not enjoy baths or being touched with wet hands.

Jada currently eats a specific store-bought food due to dietary sensitivities, though it is not a prescription or medical diet. She is not currently spayed and is not up to date on vaccinations, flea and tick prevention, or heartworm prevention.

Despite the challenges she has faced throughout her life, Jada is a resilient, loving dog with a great deal of potential. She would thrive in a home that offers patience, consistency, and understanding while continuing to help her build confidence and feel secure. In return, she will provide loyalty, companionship, and plenty of affection to the people she loves.

⛳🐾 𝗪𝗲 𝗡𝗲𝗲𝗱 𝗬𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗛𝗲𝗹𝗽 𝘁𝗼 𝗠𝗮𝗸𝗲 𝗢𝘂𝗿 𝗚𝗼𝗹𝗳 𝗖𝗹𝗮𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗰 𝗮 𝗦𝘂𝗰𝗰𝗲𝘀𝘀! 🐾⛳

The Hope Highway’s Golf Classic is coming up on 𝗔𝘂𝗴𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝟭𝟱𝘁𝗵, and we are looking for sponsors and gift basket donations to help make this event a success.

Each year, we host just two major fundraisers—the Annual Fundraiser in April and our Golf Classic in August. The funds raised through these events are a vital source of support that helps carry us through the year and allows us to continue changing the lives of dogs in need.

Because of the generosity of our supporters, we can provide:
🐶 Food for dogs and puppies
🐶 Spay and neuter services
🐶 Medical and dental care
🐶 Transportation to safety
🐶 And so much more

We are incredibly grateful to 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝘀𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗮 𝗖𝗿𝗲𝗱𝗶𝘁 𝗨𝗻𝗶𝗼𝗻 for being our Top Dog Sponsor, and we would also like to thank our current Service Dog Hole Sponsors:
🐾 Mosquito Shield of Appleton
🐾 The Bell Family
🐾 Northern Codeworks

While we are off to a great start, we still need significant support to reach our goals. Last year, more than 60 businesses, families, and individuals sponsored holes and sponsorship levels, and over 70 golfers participated. Thanks to that amazing community support, the Golf Classic was a tremendous success.

𝗔𝘃𝗮𝗶𝗹𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝗦𝗽𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗼𝗿𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽 𝗢𝗽𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗲𝘀:
🏆 Working Dog Sponsor – $1,000 (1 remaining)
🍽️ Hungry Dog Dinner Sponsor – $1,000 (1 remaining)
🛺 Lap Dog Cart Sponsor – $500 (20 remaining)
⛳ Service Dog Hole Sponsor – $100 (unlimited)

Whether you're a business, family, or individual, your support directly helps dogs get the second chance they deserve. We are an entirely (100%) volunteer-based rescue organization. Everything we raise goes directly to helping dogs get a second chance at life.

If you're interested in sponsoring, donating a gift basket, or learning more, please reach out. And if you're unable to sponsor, a simple 𝗹𝗶𝗸𝗲, 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘀𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗲 can help us reach someone who can.

Thank you for believing in our mission and helping us give hope to dogs who need it most.
