Happy Halloween from this crew!

10/29/2026

We rejoice that you are marked with God’s love.
And we give thanks for the Holy Spirit’s presence within you.
Together let us proclaim the good news of Jesus Christ to all the world. Amen.

Although a person is baptized once in a lifetime, the gifts of Holy Baptism are continually renewed in the lives of God’s people. In addition to a daily return to baptism in remembrance and thanksgiving, Affirmation of Baptism is a rite to mark a person’s readiness to claim the promises of Holy Baptism first made on their behalf by parents.

Our confirmands participated in a period of nurture in the church — and during worship this past weekend they promised to respond to Christ’s saving love with lives of faithfulness and service.

A message to our Confirmands ...

The world needs your gifts, your questions, your courage, YOUR love. It's time to go and live it!

10/20/2026

Live in the joy and the abundance that God has given to each one of us.

What is expected of us as Christians?

To give back to God some of what was given to us by God. And to use our resourses to further God's mission in the world for the sake of others.

Today is Indigenous Peoples' Day!

"Give thanks for Indigenous communities that have lived in the Americas and other parts of the world for thousands of years. Pray that we will not overlook them in our telling of history and that we will honor our church’s commitment to repentance, reconciliation, healing, respect and unity as children of God." —Prayer Ventures

Psalm 148 adapted by Norman Habel

All dogs and cats, large and small: Praise the Lord!
All rabbits, hamsters, and guinea pigs: Praise the Lord!
All creatures of the waters, the goldfish, guppies,
and swimming creatures: Praise the Lord!
All of the winged ones, robins, wrens, and singing birds: Praise the Lord!
All bats, squirrels, and raccoons: Praise the Lord!
All horses, cows, wolves, and sheep: Praise the Lord!
All lizards, snakes, cockroaches, and creeping things: Praise the Lord!
Every animal in the sky, the sea, and the forest: Praise the Lord!

May God, who created the animals of this earth, continue to protect and sustain us all, now and forever.
