Kids 'n Kinship

Kids 'n Kinship Kids ‘n Kinship is a non-profit youth mentoring organization. Volunteers spend 1-4 hours per week in the community with the child.

Typical activities might include picnicking, attending sporting events, hobbies, baking cookies or going to the movies. Volunteers make a one-year commitment to the program. These relationships often grow into life-long friendships. The program also has a small school-based program at four elementary schools.

This Waitlist Youth* is an only child of a single mom who wishes she had siblings and pets (her mom's allergic).

She's interested in LOTS of things like dancing, drawing, going to the park, learning to swim and riding her bike. She'd love a mentor who she could explore all of these things with.

Mentor Ny is excited to give back and help support a local teen who is shy and doesn't have a lot of friends. Ny is motivated as this is a full circle moment for her, a Kids 'n Kinship kid alum herself. Her experience having a mentor has instilled a desire to pay it forward to another youth in need of additional adult support and friendship. The pair share a lot in common from their journeys in life, personalities, and common interests. We are excited to see how this friendship continues and see their adventures along the way.
