Our May program features a fascinating presentation by retired
history professor Dr. Lori Ann Lahlum.

Did you know that thousands of American-born women lost their United States citizenship simply by marrying immigrant men?
Dr. Lahlum brings this little-known story to life, focusing specifically on Norwegian American women right here in Minnesota who unknowingly lost their citizenship and their right to vote in the early 20th century. It is a surprising and thought-provoking chapter of both Norwegian American and women's history. Dr. Lahlum spent 34 years teaching history and has authored several books on Norwegian American women on the northern prairies and plains.

JULEBORD is here in Apple Valley MN! Check out the information on EventBrite. Hope to see you, your kids, and friends.
