​The Historical Connection
​Walt's Roots: Walt Disney was the 107th member of DeMolay International's Mother Chapter in Kansas City, Missouri, joining in 1920. He credited the organization's principles with shaping his character and guide for life.
​The Comic Strip: In the early 1930s, a series of five comic strips titled "Mickey Mouse Chapter" appeared in The DeMolay Cordon (the youth organization's official magazine).
​The Plot: In the featured comic, Mickey gathers his farmyard friends (including Horace Horsecollar and Clarabelle Cow) at the barn to vote "AYE!" on forming their very own "Barnyard Chapter of De Molay".
​The Artist: While carrying the famous Walt Disney Studio branding, these strips were drawn by animator Fred Spencer, a former DeMolay member himself. Both Disney and Spencer were awarded the DeMolay Legion of Honor.

☀️ What a way to wrap up the summer!

​Our annual End-of-Summer Picnic was an absolute blast, and we could not have asked for a better turnout. It was fantastic bringing together our prospects, active members, and catching up with familiar faces we haven't seen in a while!

​From non-stop action on the soccer field and around the ping-pong table to swimming in the lake and making memories on the playground, the day was packed with great food, friendly competition, and endless laughs.

​To top it all off, we were honored by a very special guest appearance from the Minnesota Grand Master, Mr. Shawn Carrick! 🏆

​Thank you to everyone who came out, brought a dish, and helped make this summer send-off so memorable. We’re so grateful for this amazing community.

​Anoka Chapter made the trip up to Duluth to lend a hand with Excalibur Con and their Chapter Open House, and we couldn't have asked for a better time.

​From meeting awesome characters and making new friends on the con floor to unleashing our inner engineers back at the open house, the energy was unmatched. The absolute highlight? Hands down the catapult-building session—and the chaotic, epic marshmallow battle that followed! 🚀🍬

​Huge thank you to the Duluth Chapter for being such incredible hosts. We loved collaborating, hanging out, and connecting with everyone who stopped by!

We are ao excited to be apart of this great community event again!! 1919 root b**r on tap!!

Once again the Brethren of Anoka Lodge #30, as well as our whole Masonic Family, invite you to our Annual Ribs, Bibs & Blues event as we raise funds for the Anoka County Brotherhood Council - ACBC Food Shelf!

Dontations of food are also welcome to be dropped off during the event, so come and enjoy the Food & Music as well as a few laughs at this great annual event helping our Community!

Thank you for having us at Feed My Starving Children! It was nice seeing the masonic family turn out!

This morning was spent together as a Masonic family volunteering and making a difference!

We had members from Compass Lodge #265, Robbinsdale OES #238, Bethel #39 Robbinsdale MN Job’s Daughters and Anoka DeMolay join us to pack meals at Feed My Starving Children.

We had a great turnout for our dinner service! A huge thank you to everyone who stopped by and supported our fundraiser by picking up some beef sticks—your generosity means the world to our chapter.
