Flags for Fort Snelling Calling friends and family into action, a movement began to try to collect as many flags as they could. Today, the effort continues!

Flags for Fort Snelling honors American Veterans by organizing the funds and volunteers needed to place flags at the Fort Snelling National Cemetery every year on Memorial Day weekend. Flags for Fort Snelling organizes the funds and volunteers needed to honor our fallen heroes laid to rest at the Fort Snelling National Cemetery with American Flags. dt learned that Fort Snelling no longer had the ability to place flags on the graves of the Veterans laid to rest at their cemetery. Falling quite short of their goal of 180,000 flags, the volunteers were still proud to still have drawn local attention to the tradition of remembering each Veteran on Memorial Day. Flags for Fort Snelling is working toward blanketing Fort Snelling National Cemetery with Red, White, and Blue, every Memorial Day. Today, we celebrate the stars and stripes,a symbol of freedom, unity, and the incredible sacrifices made by our nation’s heroes. For us, it isn’t just a symbol we honor today; it’s a daily reminder of our mission to ensure that every fallen hero at Fort Snelling National Cemetery is remembered and respected.
