Cub Scout Family Pack 233

Cub Scout Family Pack 233 We are a Family Cubscout Pack. We welcome both boys and girls, kindergarten through 5th grade. We meet Mondays from 6:30 to 7:30 pm at Zion Lutheran.

Looking for something to do tonight? Starting at 4pm come to the Anoka Classic Car show. We have some scouts who will be joining Troop 233 at their concession stand. Hot dogs, brats, and lots of awesome cars. Tonight is the first show of the season!

The Pack has had a busy start to 2025!

In February we celebrated the birthday of Scouting with our Magic Themed Blue and Gold. It was an awesome event and we’re proud of our AOLs who transitioned over to Troop 65 and Troop 233!

In March we held our annual Pinewood Derby with a Western theme including an Outlaw open class race with some looser building rules. It was great to see all of the creativity. A big thank you to all of the family and friends who came to join in the festivities and purchased goods from our Corral concessions and bake sale.

Scout Sunday is a chance for our Pack to show appreciation of the contributions of Scouts and leaders in our community. There is no doubt that the leaders and parishioners of our charter org, Zion Lutheran, deserve our recognition. The Cub Scouts joined up with Troop 233 this past Sunday to do just that. The Scouts handed out bulletins, welcomed parishioners, helped with collections, acolyte duties, and the offering. Thank you to everyone who has had an impact on our Scouts!

Pack 233 was busy this past weekend. Our Scouts teamed up with BSA Troop 233 and participated in the Grande Day Parade in Anoka. By far one of the biggest parades we are a part of and we love every minute! These scouts really channeled their inner “Zombie” and everyone loved the float. This past Saturday the Cub Scout Pack 233 and BSA Troop 233 got their creative juices flowing and participated in the annual Light Up The Night Parade in downtown Anoka. This is becoming one of our favorite parades to be in. The trailer was decorated with as a biohazard zombie theme with the scouts wearing glow up face paint. We got lots of cheers from the amazing spectators! Can’t wait for this upcoming Saturday when we do it again in the Grand Day Parade!

The Pack had our first table for wreath sales this weekend at our Charter Organization - Zion Lutheran, Anoka. The Scouts enjoyed welcoming parishioners to social hour, 11am service, and even got to partake in a donut! We will be back between the 9am and 11am service October 27th!

Cub Scout Family Pack 233 had a great time during our annual fall camp at Rum River Scout Camp this past weekend. Our theme this year was “Space”. The scouts learned STEM by building and launching air/water powered rockets, tested their agility trying to eat in “zero” gravity, practicing hand eye coordination during shooting sports, team building, and star gazing where we saw many satellites, constellations, and even some shooting stars (meteors). The Scouts also got to try some dehydrated MRE and freeze dried candies! We are very thankful for our scouting families!
