What a tree-mendous day of community collaboration in action 🌳Today, in proud partnership with the Arbor Day Foundation and the City of Springfield, plus volunteers from CHEP and Mars Inc., we worked together to plant 40 beautiful new trees at Begg Park in Springfield, Michigan!

These newly planted trees offer a wide range of lasting benefits for the community and the environment🌳 They will help provide fresher air and cleaner water, reduce noise, and enhance the park's tree canopy - making it more beautiful and diverse for visitors of all ages to enjoy for many years to come.

We extend our sincere appreciation to everyone who played a role in making this day a success! Special thanks to the Arbor Day Foundation, the City of Springfield, Michigan, and all the dedicated volunteers from CHEP and Mars, Incorporated – you are the root of our success! 🌱

Seriously please don’t. Help us preserve the forests so your children have some place to vacation in the future! No oak!!!

Camping season is here, which means it's time for a crucial reminder: Don't move firewood! Untreated firewood can carry invasive species from one place to another, potentially exposing vulnerable species to dangerous pests. Keep Michigan forests safe by buying your wood where you burn it! 🌳💚 What an incredible two days in Montrose, Michigan! Our hearts are so full of gratitude for everyone who helped make this educational and tree planting event at Carter Elementary School such a meaningful success! Thank you the Michigan Department of Natural Resources, Montrose Community Schools Carter Elementary, NHS Seniors, and the many wonderful volunteers who came together with such generosity, energy, and love for our community and our trees! 🌱✨

📚🍃 On May 20th, ReLeaf Michigan’s Jenni Shockling, gave an engaging educational presentation to students, teaching children how to protect and care for the trees on their playground and inspiring curiosity, stewardship, and excitement that will keep growing for years to come 🌎💚🌳

🙌🌟 On May 21, 2026, the planting day itself was a beautiful example of community in action. Special shout-outs to outstanding ReLeaf Michigan Forester Lindsay Lights and to the amazing Principal Brewer and all of the dedicated school staff for your support and hospitality, to the NHS Seniors for stepping up to serve (and the impromptu story time), and to every volunteer—both experienced and first-time tree planters—who rolled up their sleeves and helped make this event a huge success! Because of you, Carter Elementary’s playground will be greener, cooler, and more beautiful for students for years to come. Thank you all for helping plant not just trees, but hope, learning, and a lasting legacy 💚🌳👏
