South Carolina Athletic Coaches Association - SCACA SCACA is a non profit agency that provides benefits to South Carolina HS coaches Abide by the rules of the game in letter and spirit.

As a member of the SCACA, coaches will:
*Strive to develop in each athlete the qualities of leadership and good judgment.
*Respect the integrity and personality of the individual athlete.
*Encourage the highest standards of conduct and scholastic achievement.
*Seek to adopt good health habits including the establishment of sound training rules.
*Fulfill responsibilities to provide health services

and an environment free of safety hazards.
*Exemplify the highest moral character, behavior, and leadership.
*Provide ethical relationships among coaches.
*Encourage a respect for all athletics and their values. Maintain a program of team environment that is free of fear, discrimination, abuse, and harassment. Respect the integrity and judgment of sport officials. Display modesty in victory and graciousness in defeat. Demonstrate a mastery of and continuing interest in coaching principles and techniques through professional improvement.

Meet Angelia James, Head Girls Basketball Coach at Legion Collegiate Academy! 🏀 As a Women’s Varsity Basketball coach and proud SCACA member for the past 2️⃣ years, Angelia brings passion, and heart to her program. ✨

As a lifelong basketball fan, she believes the strongest teams are built on genuine connection. Her coaching philosophy says it all: “Get to know the person before you try developing the athlete. Building a relationship is very important.” 🤝

Some coaches change a scoreboard. Great coaches change a culture. 🏈👏 This week, we’re proud to recognize Coach Jamie Fordham of Goose Creek High School Gators as our SCACA Coach of the Week! 🏆

In his first year as head football coach, Coach Fordham stepped into a challenging situation and quickly made his mark. After taking over during a 13-game losing streak, he led Goose Creek to a victory in his first game and has helped bring a new energy and culture to the program in a short amount of time.

Congratulations, Coach Fordham, on this well-deserved recognition! We’re excited to celebrate the leadership and impact you’re bringing to Goose Creek. 👏

Friday night football under the lights! 🏈🌙 Our Executive Director, Scott Earley, was at Dorman High School for a big 5A matchup between the Dorman Cavaliers and James F. Byrnes High School Rebels this past Friday night. After an almost two-hour delay, both teams took the field ready to compete, and Dorman came away with a 35–21 victory. 👏

We’re loving being part of Friday Night Lights across South Carolina and getting to support the coaches and athletes who make these nights so special! ❤️🏈

A special shoutout to Dorman #1, Nick Means, for a great night on the field! And of course, it was great connecting with Coach Tony Gillespie, Coach Reggie Shaw, and SCFCA President Jason Farmer on the sidelines.

Our Executive Director Scott Earley joined the crowd at South Aiken High School last Friday night as they battled Silver Bluff High School. It was especially great to be there supporting Head Coach Chris Hamilton, SCACA’s Board President this year!
