We sat down with Ricky Sapp and Dr. Larry Bowman for two upcoming episodes of the PlaySmartUSA podcast: The Opioid Conversation.

Ricky Sapp, a former standout football player for Clemson, the Philadelphia Eagles, New York Jets, and Houston Texans, shared his personal experiences as an athlete and life after football.

Dr. Bowman brought the perspective of someone who has spent 40 years serving student-athletes through sports medicine.

We talked pain, prevention, safer choices, purpose and potential.

And yes…we managed to fit in plenty of laughs, a little dancing and a Heisman pose. 😂🏈
