Help us congratulate John A. Miller, Jr., one of our Leadership Anderson Distinguished Alumni Award recipients!

John is no stranger to the Anderson area community. In 1998, after serving as the Chief Operating Officer of AnMed for more than 20 years, he was named to succeed Kirk Oglesby as the CEO of AnMed. During his tenure as CEO, AnMed opened an urgent care, enhanced Home Health Services, sponsored SAFE KIDS, DocLink, in 2001 had its first open-heart surgery, created a department of diversity, built and opened the AnMed North Campus, opened a Cardiac and Orthopedic Center, oversaw the largest exp and renovation project on the main campus and celebrated 100 years of AnMed. He did all of this while serving and leading other organizations in the community, in the region and at the state level like Chairing the Board of the Anderson Area Chamber of Commerce, serving on the Board of Ten At The Top, serving on the Board of the SC Hospital Association, serving on the Board of the Greenwood Genetics Center…among many other community roles.

Please join us in honoring John A. Miller Jr. from Leadership Anderson Class 18!

There is an urgent need in business today for leaders to identify leadership potential and to develop executive talent. A recent industry report showed that nearly 80% of companies report a leadership development gap, only 5% of organizations have fully implemented leadership development programs at all levels, and 42% of companies lack a leadership competency framework on which to base their development programs. This workshop will focus on the mechanics of leadership identification.

Help us congratulate Dr. Jane Cahaly, one of our Leadership Anderson Distinguished Alumni Award recipients!

Teaching at the high school and college level, she has impacted the lives of countless students. After teaching for a number of years, she created an organization that partnered businesses with schools called the Business Education Partnership. Later she held a position with the SC Department of Education where she partnered schools in South Carolina with schools abroad. Then a calling to teach at Anderson University came her way leading and there she would teach students who would follow in her footsteps as teachers. Later she would follow her love of travel and become the International Director at AU.

Her Leadership Anderson Class, Class 7, created Junior Leadership Anderson, now in its 33rd year… WOW!! Now that she is retired, she is still teaching at her church and helping to reach the next generation for Christ through grandparents as part of the Salt & Light Foundation she created!!

Please show your appreciation for Dr. Jane Cahaly!
