In 2009, our family (Gary, Danielle and Kelsey Brossart) participated as shoppers in Muncie, fell in love with the ministry. We loved it so much that we wanted to bring it to Madison County. Secret Families of Madison County has been helping families in the
Madison County area since 2010. Our families come exclusively from local school principals throughout Madison County and surrounding areas. We ask the principals for recommendations of families that are in the greatest need and they have always come through over the years. The schools see the needs first hand and they are able to vet the families for the ministry. Then families are then interviewed over the phone and gift lists with sizes, needs and preferences are compiled. Our first year, we helped 6 families and have been trying to double the number of families assisted each year.
