The Norwex consultants also filled Katie's Boutique - Foster Indiana with love by donating pajamas, socks, underwear, hygiene products and shoes for children in foster care.

FLOOD RELIEF DISTRIBUTION IS OPEN TODAY!

Today, Tuesday August 18th, Turn Away No Longer Inc will be open from 10AM to 3PM as an official Flood Relief Distribution Center for Madison County.

If you or your family have been affected by the flooding, PLEASE COME GET WHAT YOU NEED.

No questions asked. No paperwork. No explaining your situation. Just come get what you need.

We have flood cleanup supplies, everyday essentials, food, bottled water and other donated items available for families affected by the flooding.

WE ALSO NEED YOUR HELP KEEPING OUR SHELVES STOCKED.

Supplies are coming in and going right back out to families who need them. We are especially running low on:

Fans
Brooms
Buckets
Mops
Extension cords
Feminine hygiene products
Paper towels
All purpose cleaners
Spray bottles
Hand sanitizer
Large trash bags
Nonperishable food items
Totes with lids

ALL DONATED ITEMS MUST BE NEW.

We are also accepting donations of other flood cleanup supplies and everyday essentials including cleaning products, work gloves, N95 masks, rubber boots, dehumidifiers, laundry detergent, toiletries, diapers, pull ups, bottled water, disposable plates and utensils, and easy meals.

Gift cards to Walmart, Lowe’s, Home Depot, Menards, grocery stores and gas stations are also incredibly helpful.

Yesterday we watched our community show up in an incredible way. Volunteers worked side by side, donations came through our doors, and those supplies went right back out to our neighbors who needed them.

Your generosity reaches far beyond a single donation. Because of you, children arriving at TANL House are welcomed with comfort and care during one of the hardest moments of their lives. Our Swag Pack Program continues to provide backpacks filled with comfort and necessities for children entering foster care. 36 students from Tokyo, Japan visited Turn Away No Longer Inc through The Tama Sei English Program of America, Inc as part of their two week English immersion experience in the United States.

Instead of simply touring our organization, they chose to spend an afternoon serving others.

They spread out across our programs with smiles on their faces and willing hearts. Some carefully packed Swag Packs and hygiene kits for children entering foster care. Others sorted jewelry at Katie's Boutique so children can enjoy shopping for something special. A group gathered around the table making handmade cards filled with encouraging words that will one day brighten someone’s day.

It was amazing to watch students from halfway around the world come together with one purpose, serving children they may never meet.

We are incredibly grateful to the students, their teachers, and the leaders of The Tama Sei English Program of America, Inc. for choosing TANL as their service project. We are honored they have already committed to returning in 2027.

Today was a birthday she will never forget.

She came to shop at Katie's Boutique - Foster Indiana on her special day, and from the moment she walked through the door, her smile said it all. She had so much fun picking out new clothes, shoes, and special things just for her. Since it was her birthday, she even got to choose an extra toy to take home.

As she was leaving, she looked up with the biggest smile and said, “Best day ever!”

Those three words are why Katie’s Boutique exists.

Because of your generosity, children entering foster care receive so much more than clothing and essentials. They are reminded they matter. They are shown they are loved. They are given a reason to smile during one of the most difficult times in their young lives.

To every donor, volunteer, and supporter who makes days like this possible, thank you. Every act of kindness helps remind a child that they are not alone.

We have volunteer opportunities throughout the day including event setup, vendor assistance, show car parking, registration, bicycle giveaway, judging, merchandise, cleanup, and more.
