Today, leaders from several local First Merchants locations spent time volunteering with us at TANL!

They tagged 225 pieces of clothing for Katie's Boutique and took a tour of our facilities to learn more about the children we serve.

Thank you all for spending time with us and helping get clothing ready for our foster littles. We are so grateful for your time, your helping hands, and your support! ♥️

35 loads of laundry! Four wonderful ladies! Three hours of washing, drying, folding and plenty of laughter! ♥️

A big thank you to Patti Jo Broshar-Foust, Carol Polhamus, Carol Whitcher and Debbie Condon for taking on a whole lot of laundry for Katie's Boutique! You gave your time and put so much care into getting these clothes clean and ready for our littles.

We also want to thank Mike Kirby for providing free use of Linnie B’s Laundry in Pendleton and donating the quarters to cover the washers and dryers. What a generous way to help care for the children we serve!

There is a lot that happens before clothing is ready for a child to take home. Picking up bags, loading cars, washing, drying and folding every piece takes willing hands and time. We are so grateful for the people who gladly do that work.

Thank you all for loving our littles, right down to the laundry. We have the best TANL Team! ♥️

Meet Nancy Walters Carpenter, one of Katie’s daughters. The photo hanging beside her is her mother, the woman we named Katie's Boutique after.

Nancy gives her time to help make sure our foster littles have fresh, clean clothing waiting for them. She comes to the boutique, loads up laundry and takes it home to wash and fold. Then she brings it back, ready for our children to choose and wear.

It is a lot of laundry, a lot of folding and a lot of trips back and forth. We want Nancy to know how much every bit of it means to us and the children we serve.

There is something so special about having Katie’s daughter caring for the littles who come through the doors of a boutique named in her mother’s honor. Through her own kindness and giving heart, Nancy is helping carry her mother’s legacy forward.

Nancy, thank you for the time, care and love you put into every load. We are so grateful for you and proud to share this little piece of the heart behind Katie’s Boutique. You mean the world to us, we love you Nancy! ♥️

3Rivers Federal Credit Union team put their hearts and hands to work at Katie's Boutique for their Serve Day!

This wonderful group assembled new shelving for our upper warehouse and prepared coats for the Blue Bridge Project. Their hard work helps us keep clothing and supplies organized for the children we serve and get warm coats ready for families this Saturday.

We are so grateful for the time, energy and kindness they shared with us. Every shelf assembled and every coat prepared helps us care for someone who needs it.

A big thank you to Peggy Allawat for donating beautiful new clothing to Katie's Boutique - Foster Indiana!

There is something special about a child getting to choose clothes they love and feel good wearing. Peggy’s thoughtful gift helps fill our racks with those opportunities for the foster littles we serve.

Peggy, thank you for thinking of our kids and giving with such a generous heart. We are so grateful for you and for everyone who helps keep Katie’s Boutique a place where children feel loved and cared for! ♥️

Christmas Angels applications are now open for Indiana foster littles and children whose families have been displaced by the flood! ♥️

Every child deserves to feel loved and remembered at Christmas. We are so grateful for our supporters who help us bring that joy to children and families through TANL’s Christmas Angels Program.

Rebekah Baker found a good sale today and thought of our TANL littles!

She brought us these sweet new outfits to help keep little ones clothed and cared for. We are so thankful for people who think of our littles while going about their day and turn a shopping trip into a chance to give.

A big thank you to Monty and Patti Jo Broshar-Foust, and their life group at Fall Creek Christian Church for choosing TANL for their service project!

They built shelving, sorted clothing, broke down a whole lot of boxes and took out the trash. Those everyday jobs add up, and having extra hands made such a difference. Patti was especially grateful for the help with all those boxes!

The group is studying Rooted, a series that includes serving others, and we are thankful they chose to put that into practice with us.

Every shelf assembled and every piece of clothing sorted helps us have what we need ready for the children and families we serve.

Thank you, Patti, for sharing TANL with your church family, and thank you to everyone who came and gave their time. We are so grateful to have you alongside us! ♥️

Our hearts are full of gratitude for the wonderful volunteers from New Hope Presbyterian Church & Preschool who spent their Day of Service helping at Katie's Boutique - Foster Indiana.

It was beautiful to see families giving their time together and sharing such kindness with the children we serve. Every item organized and every helping hand helps us provide dignity, comfort and love to children when they need it most.

Thank you for sharing your time, your hearts and your kindness with TANL. We are incredibly grateful to have compassionate community partners like you standing beside our children.

Together, we are changing how foster care begins. ♥️

We are incredibly grateful to the Norwex Foundation for presenting Turn Away No Longer Inc with a generous $3,500 check to support the children we serve.

A very special thank you to Peggy Allawat and Courtney Early for nominating TANL for this award. Peggy and Courtney, your love, encouragement and support over the years have meant more to us than you will ever know. Thank you for believing in our mission and continuing to stand beside us.

The Norwex consultants also filled Katie's Boutique - Foster Indiana with love by donating pajamas, socks, underwear, hygiene products and shoes for children in foster care.

Every dollar given and every item donated will help us provide comfort, dignity and care to children when they need it most.

To the Norwex Foundation, Peggy, Courtney and every Norwex consultant who gave so generously, thank you for helping us change how foster care begins.
