This week we’re learning all about hibernation and migration! We’re having fun learning about all the ways that animals adapt to live in their environments, especially here in Alaska. We’re looking forward to a week filled with lots of learning through play!

What’s your favorite hibernating animal?

Today we got some very special visitors! Our local firefighters from Station 4 stopped by this morning and talked to us about fire safety. We also got to learn about their gear, the tools they use, and their fire trucks!

It’s fire week at the Playschool! This is one of our favorite themes and we’re so excited for our adventures together this week. We’ll be busy doing fire themed dress up and dramatic play, artwork, and learning!

We believe the best way to learn is by play - especially when we get to play outside!

Today was our fall hike day and we had a blast exploring the trails around the Playschool. We saw birds, bugs, and so many colorful leaves! What leaf color is your favorite?
