Wood Quiz: This osage orange bat is a spring side project for Graham. Osage orange is also called horse apple, hedge apple, or bois d’arc, and it’s typically used for turning, tool handles, bows for archery, furniture, and in our case, its also been used in the Bantry Bay gig. Can you guess where we’ve employed it for boatbuilding?

Check out the April monthly update on YouTube to hear John Linsley talk about his work on this project.
