🎃🍬 Help us fill the candy buckets!

Our Halloween Spooktacular is October 23rd from 6:30–8:30 PM, and we’d love some community help collecting candy and bottled water for the kids and families joining us! 💚

We’re collecting unopened, sealed bags of individually wrapped candy and unopened bottled water.

📍 Amarillo: Drop donations off at Critter Worx inside Westgate Mall anytime during our normal business hours.

📍 Canyon: You can also bring donations to us on Main Street while we’re setting up on October 23rd, before the event begins.

Keeping everyone hydrated is something we take seriously! We always offer free water at Critter Worx, and we want to have plenty to hand out alongside the candy that evening. 💧

Whether it’s one bag of candy, a case of water, or sharing this post, we appreciate your help making it a fun night for the kids! 🦊🎃

Due to the rain, we’re pushing back our opening time today! 🐍🦎🕷️🦊

Critter Worx will open at 2:00 PM today instead of 12:00 PM. 🌧

We’re sorry for the change, but we want everyone to have a safe and fun visit! ❤️

Come see us at 2 PM and spend the afternoon exploring, learning, and getting up close with some amazing animals! 🐍💚

🐾 WE’RE LOOKING FOR VOLUNTEERS! 🐍

Ready Set Rescue & Critter Worx are growing, and we’re looking for dependable, hardworking volunteers who genuinely care about animals and want to become part of what we’re building. ❤️

Whether you’re looking to gain hands-on experience, learn more about rescue and exotic animal care, help your community, or simply give your time to something meaningful, we’d love to hear from you.

This isn’t just about getting to hold cool animals.

It’s cleaning p**p. 💩
Scrubbing enclosures. 🧹
Preparing food.
Giving medications. 💊
Helping animals through recovery.
Learning proper husbandry.
Working with snakes, reptiles, birds, mammals, and other exotics. 🐍🦎🦜
Helping with events, educational programs, and guests.
And most importantly — showing up when the animals are depending on you.

Experience is always a plus, but it isn’t everything.

We can teach animal care. What matters most to us is reliability, patience, a willingness to learn, a strong work ethic, and someone who truly cares about doing things the right way.

For someone serious about animal care, rescue, education, or eventually working professionally with animals, this can be a great opportunity to gain real hands-on experience and grow with our organization.

As Ready Set Rescue & Critter Worx continue to grow, dedicated volunteers may also be considered for future paid positions when openings become available. Volunteering does not guarantee employment, but it gives us a chance to get to know the people who believe in this mission as much as we do.

🐍✨ HAVE YOU MET EVIE YET?! ✨🐍

Evie is our beautiful Green Tree Python and one of the stars of Critter Worx! 💚

Green Tree Pythons aren’t typically known for being handleable, which makes Evie a truly special ambassador for her species. She helps us teach visitors about these incredible snakes and their natural behaviors. 🌿🐍

This weekend was more than an opening. It was the moment everything we’ve worked for finally came to life. 💚

Hundreds of people walked through our doors, supported our animals, listened to their stories, and reminded us exactly why we started this in the first place.

To everyone who showed up, shared our posts, told a friend, brought your family, donated, or simply believed in what we’re building — thank you. Truly.

We have so much more ahead of us. More animals to help. More stories to tell. More people to educate. More dreams we’re determined to bring to life.

We’re not slowing down.

We’re just getting started. 🐍🐾

And we’ll be OPEN tomorrow for Labor Day from 12–6 PM. Come be part of what comes next. 💚
