Join us to experience the awe-inspiring sight of majestic elk in their
natural habitat during an Elk Viewing Carriage Ride. The carriage ride will continue to Pine Street in Hillman to view the 3 most recent homes built by Habitat for Humanity Northeast Michigan. Includes a gourmet dinner and wine tasting at Thunder Bay Resort, 27800 M-32, Hillman, MI 49746.

ReStore Delivery Truck Driver/Donation Intake Associate

Description:
β€’ Assists with picking up donations and delivering purchased items, which can include furniture, appliances, home goods and building materials from individual home donors and corporate business donors throughout the affiliate’s service area of Presque Isle, Alpena, Alcona, Montmorency, and Oscoda counties.
β€’ Assesses potential donations for acceptability using specific guidelines and communicates clearly and tactfully with potential donors regarding their items.
β€’ Safely loads the truck, delivers the donations, and unloads the truck to our Habitat ReStore, as directed by the ReStore Manager.
β€’ Maintains records of donations via donation receipts.
β€’ Provides exceptional customer service to Habitat ReStore donors and customers both in face-to-face interactions and via the telephone.
β€’ Assists with preparing items for the sales floor.
β€’ Assists in the flow of merchandise from pickup through preparation in the warehouse and onto the sales floor.
β€’ Completes other tasks as assigned by the ReStore Manager.

Required Qualifications/Skills:
β€’ Enjoys working with the public and possesses excellent communication and customer service skills.
β€’ Excellent time management skills and planning skills to maintain pickup schedule.
β€’ Able to thrive in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment and maintain a positive attitude.
β€’ Able to understand and communicate the mission of Habitat for Humanity and the ReStore.
β€’ Enjoys working with a diverse group of individuals including staff and volunteers.
β€’ Works well as part of a team and takes initiative to assist other team members as needed.
β€’ Ability to lift and move at least 75 pounds and to safely load and unload trucks.
β€’ Ability to maintain vehicle and warehouse area in clean and safe conditions.
β€’ Ability to understand and follow established operating procedures.
β€’ Valid driver’s license and excellent driving record.
β€’ Able to pass a background check.
β€’ Able to drive 24-foot box truck with a lift gate.
β€’ Non-profit and/or retail warehouse experience is preferred.
β€’ A mature and professional individual.

Job Type: Part-time (20-30 hours per week; some weekends) – Possible full-time position
Salary: Commensurate with experience Benefits: Employee discounts, paid vacation/holidays, and sick days

What an amazing day for our D**k for Dwellings: Habitat Pickleball SMASH! Gorgeous weather, lots of fun, and great pickleball action!

We appreciate everyone who came to play, volunteer, and all the sponsors who made this possible. Shout out to the gentleman who stopped by with a donation! THANK YOU!
