Today on Juneteenth, we joined RCDC to celebrate the ribbon cutting of the newly renovated Resurrected Life Children’s Academy in Allentown.

LVCF Vice President of Community Investments Megan Barnes Briggs had the opportunity to speak about the power of investing in children and community. We’re especially proud that this project represents LVCF’s first impact investment, helping bring this vision for expanded early childhood education to life.

Congratulations to RCDC and all the partners who made this milestone possible. Together, we’re investing in a stronger future for the next generation.

This week, LVCF’s Robyn Weaver and Mariska van Aalst attended a PBS39 Lehigh Valley Public Media networking event hosted by Common Threads podcast host Megan Frank. Megan shared how becoming a mother made her crave a community of women to share wisdom and support. That experience inspired her to create Common Threads, a space for local women to share their perspectives and personal stories and to focus on the things that connect us all. The energy in the room was electric—a great reminder of how powerful the community of women in the Lehigh Valley truly is.
