Community Solar is gaining momentum in New Mexico, creating new opportunities for residents to save on energy costs while expanding access to clean energy across the state.

We know programs like Community Solar can play an important role in creating a more affordable and equitable energy future for New Mexicans. We are joining our partners, Solstice & Perch Energy, to help improve the program's billing processes. We could use our local New Mexicans to sign a letter of support to improve the program for all New Mexicans!

Help Protect Community Solar Savings for New Mexico Families New Mexico’s current community solar billing structure can remove low-income households from energy savings when they fall behind on utility bills. A simple fix — Net Crediting — would keep savings flowing to the families who need th...

New Mexico has launched a new statewide energy dashboard designed to make energy, emissions, and infrastructure data more accessible to the public.

The DETECT platform (Data for the Energy Transition, Economy, Climate Change and Technologies) brings together information from state agencies, public utilities, and federal sources into one interactive tool.

At Prosperity Works, we know that access to reliable data and transparency are critical to building an equitable energy future for New Mexico. Tools like DETECT can help inform smarter decisions that support both economic opportunity and climate progress. Explore the platform and share feedback at

This past academic year, Prosperity Works had an amazing opportunity to work with 40 Indigenous high school students open safe checking accounts and receive funding each month to support their regular attendance at high school! This work would not be possible without our partners at Albuquerque Public Schools, Rio Grande Credit Union, First Convenience Bank and One Generation Fund! Thank you all for making this year's work a success!

Prosperity Works recently attended a Fraud event hosted by AARP New Mexico. Our team learned more about fraud occurring every day right here in New Mexico, along with tips on how to combat these crimes that we'll be sharing over the next few weeks.

Thanks to John Fay, FBI Special Agent, White Collar Crimes, Vadim Whitt from the New Mexico Department of Justice, Raul Bujanda, CABQ Executive Director of Public Safety, and Michael McGuire, Attorney at Senior Citizens Law Office for sharing your expertise and insights! A big shout out to all the staff and volunteers at AARP NM for a great event and to Othiamba Umi, AARP New Mexico Advocacy Director for MCing the event.

Bank On New Mexico has been partnering with the New Mexico Dept. of Workforce Solutions team to connect people who are unbanked and receiving unemployment insurance benefits to safe Bank On Certified accounts. This is a big win because it helps people get access to affordable banking solutions to use now for their benefits and helps to create a financial home for them in the future.

Training was just completed for Unemployment Insurance staff members. This training covered all of the benefits of Bank On Certified Accounts so they can pass this information along to New Mexicans who are utilizing their services.

We're grateful to have been working with the department and Lynne Throop over the last six months and look forward to building on this program in the future!
