As data centers look to expand in New Mexico, we need strong guardrails to ensure the costs of their significant energy demands aren’t shifted onto New Mexico families.

The potential impact of large data centers on residential and small-business ratepayers is already part of the policy conversation in New Mexico, including questions about cost allocation and safeguards to prevent customers from subsidizing these high-load facilities.

We enjoyed a visit from our friends at the Cities for Financial Empowerment Fund last week. Their team is working with the City of Albuquerque to launch a Financial Empowerment Center in 2027, where people can connect with financial counselors to take action on their finances on topics like banking, savings, credit, debt and legacy planning.

We're excited to have this program introduced in Albuquerque and be able to support their work!

Long-term investments in young people can make a lasting difference.

Bryan opened his Prosperity Kids account in 2014. Years of saving helped him take an important step toward his future: attending the University of New Mexico and using his Prosperity Kids funds to help pay for tuition.
