Scammers are increasingly asking people to pay with gift cards, and that’s a major red flag. No legitimate business, government agency, utility company, or tech support representative will demand payment using gift cards. If someone asks you to buy gift cards and share the numbers on the back, it’s likely a scam.

Before you send money, stop and verify who you're dealing with. Taking a moment to check could save you hundreds, or even thousands, of dollars.

Prosperity Works is pleased with yesterday's Recommended Decision by PRC Hearing Examiners. We filed the motion in this case because we believe any company seeking to own a New Mexico utility should be held to the same standards and accountability requirements that apply to everyone else.

Community Solar is gaining momentum in New Mexico, creating new opportunities for residents to save on energy costs while expanding access to clean energy across the state.

We know programs like Community Solar can play an important role in creating a more affordable and equitable energy future for New Mexicans. We are joining our partners, Solstice & Perch Energy, to help improve the program's billing processes. New Mexico has launched a new statewide energy dashboard designed to make energy, emissions, and infrastructure data more accessible to the public.

The DETECT platform (Data for the Energy Transition, Economy, Climate Change and Technologies) brings together information from state agencies, public utilities, and federal sources into one interactive tool.

Congratulations to our Financial Capability class graduates!

Over the course of seven weeks, participants built knowledge and skills designed to support long-term financial success. We are proud of each participant for investing in their financial future and taking steps toward greater financial confidence and stability. This past academic year, Prosperity Works had an amazing opportunity to work with 40 Indigenous high school students open safe checking accounts and receive funding each month to support their regular attendance at high school! This work would not be possible without our partners at Albuquerque Public Schools, Rio Grande Credit Union, First Convenience Bank and One Generation Fund! Thank you all for making this year's work a success!
