A new bed can mean safety and security for a child in foster care. 🛏️

😴Having our own warm bed to sleep in is something many of us may take for granted. For a child in foster care, it's what they look forward to more than many people can understand. In the last year, our entire ministry has served 2,463 children, and of those, 1,052 needed beds. 👧🏽🧒🏻

💲Beds are our the largest financial need of our ministry. When a child enters foster care, our initial serving of each child is to make sure they get a bed, along with mattresses, mattress protector, new bedding and a new pillow. Costs for each entire set of those things are as follows:

🛏️Crib set: $180
🛏️Twin set: $235
🛏️Bunk set: $430

🗣️We want to ask if you would consider becoming a financial partner with our ministry to help us provide this very basic need to every child in foster care that we will serve. You can commit to ONE bed, mattress, mattress protector, bedding set, or pillow.....or as many as you are able each month!

🛏️Bed: $95-$120
🛏️Mattress: $85
🛏️Mattress protector: $10
🛏️Bedding: $40-$50
🛏️Pillow: $7

💛 We Need Pack-N-Plays!

We always try to keep at least 4 pack-n-plays in stock so we can respond quickly when children enter foster care unexpectedly. This week, we delivered our very last one to help a newborn placed into foster care right here in Albany.

We are incredibly thankful that DFCS was able to place this precious baby with family, but the placement happened unexpectedly and they were not prepared. Because of generous supporters like YOU, we were able to provide everything they needed...clothing, diapers, wipes, baby bottles, a pack-n-play, and so much more.

Now, we need your help restocking.

🎉 Thank You, Sumter EMC! 🎉

We are incredibly grateful to Sumter EMC for awarding Called to Care a $5,000 grant to help purchase beds, bedding, and car seats for children impacted by foster care in Sumter County, Dougherty County, and Lee County.

Because of the generosity of community partners like Sumter EMC, we can help ensure that children entering foster care have safe places to sleep and travel. In 2025 alone, Called to Care provided:
🛏️ 95 children with beds and bedding
🚗 8 children with car seats

This grant will make a tremendous impact as we continue meeting these critical needs throughout the year. Every child deserves a safe place to sleep and a safe ride, and this funding helps make that possible.
