Meet Alyssa Locus-Robinson, JD – an entrepreneur, community advocate, and CEO/Executive Director of The Ivy House Foundation, Inc. and Ivy House Properties, LLC! ✨🏡

As Executive Director of The Ivy House Foundation, Alyssa leads a 501(c)(3) nonprofit focused on entrepreneurship, small business growth, community engagement, and philanthropy. She oversees programs, builds strategic partnerships, and leads initiatives designed to create greater economic and social opportunities—particularly for underserved communities in Albany. 🤝🏾📈

As CEO of The Ivy House, a boutique venue and microbusiness center, Alyssa also guides the strategic vision and day-to-day operations of the Gillionville facility. Her work brings together business strategy, marketing, communications, and creativity to create meaningful experiences for clients while supporting the growth of entrepreneurs and small businesses. 💡✨

Outside of her professional roles, Alyssa is equally committed to developing others and strengthening her community. She was part of the inaugural Business Cohort of The Launch Room in 2025, serves as a speaker and business volunteer with Propel+, and contributes to the Albany Area Chamber of Commerce Foundation’s Talent Development Initiative. She also serves as Southeastern Children’s Cluster Co-Chairperson and Correspondence Secretary for Jack and Jill of America, Inc. 🌟📚

Meet Daniella Mendez – a dedicated historian, preservationist, and South Georgia Archives Manager at Thronateeska Heritage Center! ✨

In her role, Daniella works to preserve and promote the rich historical and cultural heritage of South Georgia. She oversees the conservation and digitization of archival materials, ensuring that the stories and records of our region remain accessible for generations to come. She also assists researchers and community members in discovering and interpreting the historical treasures within the archives. 🔎📜

Daniella’s work extends beyond preservation. She oversees records management, develops retention policies, trains staff, strengthens information systems, and helps ensure vital records are securely stored and protected. By using modern tools like electronic records management systems, she bridges the past with the present—making history more accessible while helping organizations operate more efficiently. 💻🗂️

Outside of her professional work, Daniella continues to support the arts and culture of Southwest Georgia as the Secretary for the Albany Area Arts Council. 🎨💙

Meet Meagan Batten – an innovative leader and Supervisory Information Technology Specialist at Marine Corps Logistics Base Albany! 🇺🇸⚙️

As the Branch Head of the Logistics Depot Systems Branch (LDSB), Meagan leads a team of IT professionals dedicated to delivering mission-critical technology solutions for Marine Corps Logistics Command (MARCORLOGCOM) and other Department of Defense agencies. She oversees the analysis, design, development, and implementation of software solutions that support military operations, while managing complex IT projects from planning and ex*****on to briefing senior leadership. As a supervisor, Meagan is passionate about developing her team, setting priorities, and fostering an environment where innovation and professional growth thrive. 💼📊🚀

Outside of her professional role, Meagan uses her talents to serve her faith and community. She is the Social Media Manager and Content Creator for the NDCC Media Ministry, serves as President and Lead Musician of the Praise Team, and was a member of the Leesburg Juneteenth Parade Committee in 2023 and 2024. She also successfully secured approval for the Marine Corps Logistics Base U.S. Marine Corps Color Guard to participate in the Leesburg Juneteenth Parade, helping strengthen community partnerships while honoring military service. 🎶📱🇺🇸
