Bay Area Music Project Youth Chorus had the opportunity of a lifetime to perform alongside legendary songwriter and producer Linda Perry, following the May 17th sold-out screening of Let It Die Here at the Roxie Theater in San Francisco. It was truly magical.

A heartfelt thank you to filmmaker Don Hardy for making this incredible experience possible for our kids, and, of course, to the legend Linda Perry for inspiring the next generation of artists.

We’re thrilled to share that our BAMP Youth Chorus will be performing live with the iconic Linda Perry on May 17 at 3:15 PM at the Roxie Theater!

The performance will follow a screening of the documentary, Linda Perry: Let It Die Here, with a Q&A featuring Linda and filmmaker Don Hardy of KTF Films.

After three amazing beginner Ableton Live workshops, we're ready to level up! Bay Area Music Project is launching its next series of DAW workshops for songwriters, musicians and producers starting Wednesday, April 29th at our Creative Studio.

After 3 sessions, you will have hands-on experience with:
•Advanced recording workflows and techniques, including correct microphone placement.
• Layering and arranging multi-track productions with intention
• Mixing techniques, including EQ, compression, reverb, spatial effects, and automation (modulating these parameters to fine-tune your sound)

BAMP’s first harp demonstration was so much fun! We were honored to welcome Amy Ahn, Principal Harpist of the Stockton Symphony, who led two workshops last Saturday for kids and adults.
Participants had the chance to learn about the harp’s history and mechanics, hear Amy perform, and even try the instrument themselves.

Big thanks to Amy for leading such an inspiring workshop, the awesome folks at California Harp Center for loaning us an additional harp, and everyone who joined us!

Ever wondered what it's like to play the harp? Join us this 𝗦𝗮𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗱𝗮𝘆, 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗰𝗵 𝟭𝟰𝘁𝗵 for a FREE 90-minute Pedal Harp Demo hosted by Bay Area Music Project and led by the incredibly talented Amy Ahn .myahn, principal harpist of the Stockton Symphony and nationally acclaimed soloist!
In this 90-minute demo, you'll:
• Explore the history of the harp
• Discover the difference between lever and pedal harps
• Learn proper pedal harp technique, including how to hold and play the instrument
