Bishop Sam Agcaracar's Visit to the CFC Vatican Office
During his recent visit to the CFC Vatican Office in Rome, Bishop Sam Agcaracar of the Diocese of San Jose, a former Singles for Christ (SFC) member, shared his heartfelt gratitude for the role that Couples for Christ played in his early faith formation and vocation journey.
Reflecting on his experiences in the community, Bishop Agcaracar spoke about how his involvement in SFC and the broader CFC family helped shape his spiritual life and discernment, ultimately leading him to answer God's call to the priesthood. He acknowledged that the values, formation, and missionary spirit he received through the community were instrumental in nurturing his vocation.
Now serving as Bishop of the Diocese of San Jose, he encouraged Couples for Christ to continue its mission of family evangelization and integral ecology. These remain among the key pastoral priorities he hopes to promote and strengthen within his diocese as part of his episcopal ministry.
Before his ordination as bishop, Bishop Agcaracar served as rector of the Society of the Divine Word (SVD) seminary. He was also instrumental in establishing and overseeing the development of the SVD Laudato Si' Farm in Tagaytay, an initiative that reflects the Church's commitment to care for creation and environmental stewardship inspired by Pope Francis' encyclical Laudato Si'.
His visit served as a meaningful reminder of the lasting impact of Christian formation and community life in fostering vocations and empowering missionary disciples to serve the Church in diverse ways. Through his testimony, Bishop Agcaracar highlighted how the seeds of faith planted in one's youth can bear fruit in a lifetime of service to God and His people.

Today, we celebrate Mama Mary, her birth, her beautiful life, and the quiet yes that opened the door for God to enter the world through a family. 💙

She was a ,daughter, a wife, a mother. She loved Jesus in the ordinary things, holding Him, feeding Him, watching Him grow, keeping Him close, while St. Joseph stood faithfully beside them.

And because Mary said yes, her whole life became a Magnificat: a song of love, trust, and praise to God.

So today, what can our family give Mama Mary for her birthday? Maybe a Rosary prayed together, a kinder home, forgiveness, more patience, or simply one sincere yes to Jesus.

Happy birthday, Mama Mary. 🌷
May our homes always have room for your Son.

We honor the life of a humble servant, a faithful leader, a cherished friend, a loving husband, and a devoted father. But to the CFC Singles for Christ family, he will always be our beloved "Kuya Noli".

You may have gone ahead of us, but your life here on earth remains a lasting inspiration to all who had the privilege of knowing you. Thank you for your unwavering service and for your generosity in spending 5 years as SFC's International Coordinator. Your legacy in this ministry will continue to live on in our hearts.
