In observance of Fire Prevention Month, the STEM Society of Juan Sumulong High School invites all JSHS students from Grades 7 to 10 to participate in Project ALERT: Advancing Learners’ Emergency Response Training.

📍 Where: Covered Court
📅 When: March 12, 2026
⏰ Time: 8:00 AM – 10:30 AM
🎯 What: A fire safety awareness and emergency response training program designed to educate students on fire prevention practices, identifying fire hazards, understanding the fire triangle, and learning proper response during fire-related emergencies.

Through informative discussions, demonstrations, and interactive learning activities, this program aims to strengthen students’ preparedness and promote a culture of safety, responsibility, and disaster readiness within the school community.

In celebration of Astronomy Month, we invite students to participate in two exciting science activities that promote curiosity, discovery, and innovation in astronomy and space science. These activities aim to deepen students’ understanding of our nearest star—the Sun—and apply scientific principles through hands-on engineering using water rockets.

Join us as we explore the wonders of space, observe the Sun safely, and experience the thrill of launching rockets! 🚀☀️

☀️🔭 SILIP-ARAW 2026: Solar Viewing and Sun Science Seminar

Experience the wonder of our nearest star! Participants will safely observe the Sun using proper solar viewing equipment while learning about its fascinating features through an interactive astronomy discussion.

📅 Date: March 09, 2026 (Monday)
📍 Venue: Juan Sumulong High School
⏰ Time: 8:00 A.M. – 11:00 A.M.

👥 Participants:
• 3 students per section, per grade level (JHS only)

🔭 Activity Highlights:
• Safe solar observation
• Learn about the Sun and its features
• Interactive astronomy discussion

⚠️ Reminder:
Never look directly at the Sun without proper solar viewing equipment. Safety guidelines will be strictly followed during the activity.

🚀🌍 HYDROBLAST 2026: Water Rocket Competition

Get ready to launch your creativity and engineering skills! Gather your team, build your rocket, and see how far and how accurately your rocket can fly in this exciting blast-off challenge.

📅 Date: March 10, 2026 (Tuesday)
📍 Venue: Juan Sumulong High School
⏰ Time: 8:00 A.M. – 11:00 A.M.

🏆 Competition Categories:
• Long Range – The rocket that flies the farthest distance wins.
• Closest to Target – The rocket that lands nearest to the designated target.
• Best in Design – The most creative and well-designed rocket.

👥 Participants:
• 4 members per group (Each group must consist of Grade 7, 8, 9, and 10 students.)
- The groups will be announced on the same day of the competition.

🧰 Materials Needed:
• Water
• 2 pcs. 1.5L plastic bottles (recyclable)
• Tape, scissors, decorative materials

📌 Note:
• Rubber stopper will be provided.

Each participating section is requested to assign only one (1) to two (2) representatives to present their parol. Representatives will briefly explain the concept, theme, and inspiration behind their parol. Please keep the presentation clear and concise to ensure a smooth and organized flow.
