The Supreme Council, Order of DeMolay, together with the DeMolay Sentinels, the official publication of the Supreme Council, proudly announces the first release of The DeMolay Sentinel. Through this team of talented and dedicated individuals, DeMolay Philippines looks forward to showcasing the purpose of the Order and the enduring bonds of brotherhood to the public, while elevating the presence of the Order of DeMolay and faithfully upholding its virtues across every platform it engages with.

This issue features the various activities and accomplishments of DeMolay Philippines and its constituent chapters. In relation to this publication, the title symbolizes the magazine’s role as a “guardian” of DeMolay values, traditions, news, and brotherhood, keeping members informed, connected, and inspired throughout the different jurisdictions.

Today, we lovingly remember and honor the life of Hon. Edward Y. Chua, Past Grand Master of the Supreme Council, Order of DeMolay Philippines. His remarkable leadership, steadfast dedication, and fatherly guidance helped shape the lives of countless DeMolays and strengthened the brotherhood for generations to come.

Though he is no longer with us, his legacy of service, humility, and devotion to the Order continues to live on in the hearts of every DeMolay he inspired. His memory remains a guiding light to the brotherhood. 🎂✨

The Supreme Council Order of DeMolay of the Republic of the Philippines extends its congratulations to the newly installed officers and members of Dad Camilo C. Calimlim Priory No. 22, Order of Knighthood, for the successful conduct of its 1st Institution & Installation of Officers.

Grand Master Hon. Albert V. Manlulu attended the event as Guest of Honor and Speaker, together with the Jurisdictional Deputy Grand Master for Luzon, Leg. Melvin Calimlim, and Executive Officer for the Region, Leg. Joseph Patrick Dandan.

Special recognition is also given to the members of Nueva Ecija Priory, supported by Ex-O for NE North, Leg. Melvin Estolano, who traveled to assist in the successful conduct of the investiture and installation activity.

Dad Camilo C. Calimlim Priory No. 22 was named in honor of Dad Camilo C. Calimlim, a Past DDGM of Pangasinan and a steadfast supporter of the DeMolay movement in the province. He is also the father of Leg. Melvin Calimlim, the current JDGM for Luzon.

May the newly installed officers lead with honor, humility, and dedication as they continue to strengthen the bonds of brotherhood and service.

𝗦𝗮 𝗞𝘂𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗮 𝗦𝗶 𝗡𝗮𝗻𝗮𝘆 𝗗𝗶𝘁𝗮𝘀 | 𝟯𝟲 𝘆𝗲𝗮𝗿𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝗾𝘂𝗶𝗲𝘁 𝗹𝗼𝘃𝗲 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗰𝗲𝗹𝗼 𝗛. 𝗗𝗲𝗹 𝗣𝗶𝗹𝗮𝗿 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗽𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗡𝗼. 𝟯𝟴

Behind every strong chapter are equally strong women who support, nurture, and guide the brotherhood like their own sons.

On this day, we want to feature Nanay Ditas of Marcelo H. Del Pilar Chapter No. 38, who has been part of the DeMolay family for 36 years, alongside all our mothers and mother-figures who continue to give their quiet but powerful support to the brotherhood.

From preparing meals for activities to quietly attending to the needs of the members, Nanay Ditas has always shown what unconditional care looks like. For her, it has never been an obligation, but a “kusang loob” act of love, treating the brethren as her own children.

Nanay Ditas’ first encounter with the DeMolays of Marcelo H. Del Pilar Chapter No. 8 was far from what one might expect, and she remembers it with laughter. “Magugulo eh,” she shared candidly, recalling how she saw the members back then, especially during the earlier years of the chapter.

One of her most cherished memories was being recognized as the Chapter Sweetheart, a moment she recalls with both laughter and gratitude. She also expressed joy in witnessing the chapter grow and eventually be recognized as the Most Outstanding Chapter in the Philippines.

To all the mothers, mother-figures, and women who continue to support quietly behind the scenes, this tribute is for you. 💐

DeMolay Philippines proudly launches its 2nd National Program under “VIRTUES IN ACTION.”

This project is anchored on the 1st Virtue of the Order, Filial Love, the initiative highlights “10,000 Rosas Alay Kay Nanay.”

Led by Leg. Jn Yvan Nicole Condes, Grand 1st Preceptor, this heartfelt DeMolay initiative is a tribute to the unwavering love, sacrifice, and strength of our mothers. Through this meaningful activity, we aim to deepen our appreciation and strengthen the bond of love and respect within our families.

Inspired by the 1st Candle: Filial Love, we are reminded of the sacred connection between parent and child—a love that nurtures, guides, and shapes who we become.

As reflected in the Flower Talk:
“…you may sink into the lowest depths of infamy and degradation, but never below the reach of her love. The memory of it will always stir your heart. There is no man so entirely base, so completely vile, so utterly low that he does not hold in his heart a shrine set apart for the memory of his mother’s love.”

Past Grand Master Hon. Adriano “Django” B. Durano formally took his oath of office before Grand Master Hon. Albert V. Manlulu as the newly appointed Grand Secretary of the Supreme Council, Order of DeMolay of the Republic of the Philippines.

PGM Hon. Adriano “Django” B. Durano is a distinguished leader in both Masonic and civic circles, and he brings with him extensive experience gained through active involvement in several Masonic organizations, including the Scottish Rite, Order of the Secret Monitor, Order of the Eastern Star, Royal Order of Scotland, and the Shriners. His record of public and civic service also includes leadership roles in government and organizations such as the Philippine Jaycees.

The Supreme Council shares its gratitude to PGM Hon. Django Durano for accepting the appointment and expressed full confidence in his ability to discharge the duties of Grand Secretary. This oath-taking ceremony was witnessed by GJC Leg. Jose Earl L. Navarro, and Assistant Grand Secretary Leg. Joji D. Bulawin.
