Join us for the first session of the SWM Wild Meat Dialogues Webinar Series on Wednesday, 13 May, from 08:00 to 09:00 UTC (14:00–15:00 ICT / Bangkok time).

This session will open with a brief introduction to the webinar series, followed by short lightning talks highlighting perspectives from countries and subregions across the Pacific Islands, East, and Southeast Asia. Together, we will explore the importance of wild meat for subsistence and livelihoods, as well as its impacts on conservation and health. The session will further highlight existing knowledge gaps in Asia and the Pacific, and how these hinder effective action and decision-making.

Data-Driven Public Health: Ateneo Students Present Forecasting Model for Dengue and Leptospirosis

Malugod na tinanggap ng Quezon City Epidemiology and Surveillance Division (QCESD) ang mga mag-aaral ng Ateneo de Manila University na nagbahagi ng kanilang thesis study na “A Spatio-Temporal Graph Neural Network Approach for Leptospirosis and Dengue Forecasting,” na nagpapakita ng potensyal na paggamit ng surveillance data sa pagpapalakas ng disease forecasting at public health response.Ipinakikita ng inisyatibong ito ang isa sa mga pangunahing layunin na maisulong ang makabuluhang paggamit ng surveillance data sa pananaliksik, inobasyon, at evidence-based public health interventions.
