Congratulations to our very own Noji Bajet, Thomasian Writers Guild Fiction Director for Writing Years 2024-2027!
Best of luck, Noji! We are proud of you. π
The UST Center for Creative Writing and Literary Studies (UST CCWLS) is pleased to announce the names of the ten fellows accepted to the 2026 UST National Writing Fellowship.
The fellows accepted are:
Rayji de Guia, Mida Mabitad, and Rick Patriarca (Fiction); Noji Bajet, Yan Baltazar, and Benjo Gutierrez (Katha); Justin Cruzana and Jorisse Gumanay-Nasol (Creative Nonfiction); Precioso Daje and Hannah LeceΓ±a (Sanaysay)
To be held from June 17 to June 23, 2026, the UST National Writing Fellowship replaced the previous UST National Writers' Workshop as the UST CCWLS' flagship program.
This new program offers one-on-one mentoring and provides time for fellows to write and develop their ongoing projects in a serene and picturesque environment.
The UST National Writing Fellowship follows an alternating schedule where fellows are accepted for Fiction, Creative Non-Fiction, and Mixed Media in one iteration and for Poetry, Drama, and Screenplay the following year.
Joining the Center's Resident Fellows as mentors this year are prominent writers Beverly Wico Siy and Charlson Ong.
Mentors will deliver craft lectures during the fellowship.
This year's Fellowship Director is Asst. Prof. Joselito B. Zulueta, PhD with Asst. Prof. Jose P. Mojica, PhD serving as Fellowship Coordinator.
