We'll share a booth with Gantala Press at Philippine MIL Summit organized by Out of The Box.

Happening tomorrow November 8 (8-6 PM) at Gimenez Gallery, UP Diliman!

There will be interactive exhibits, educational booths, and expert-led talks on media and information literacy with a special focus on the role of Artificial Intelligence. 👀

We've come home from our first workshop, with the brilliant, brave, and caring youth of Lumad and church communities in Mindanao! We were also privileged to be joined by their elders, who were inspiring in their ways of keeping the community together amid challenges.

Thank you so much to the Mindanao Climate Jusice team for inviting us!

For our Tree of Care exercise, we thought it was beautiful to hear the youth talk about their hopes and dreams and the support they need, but equally powerful to witness the adults be open about their struggles while committing to creating strong and nurturing communities. Because it's true: life is hard, but burdens become lighter when shared and when we look towards goals that are bigger than ourselves.

We're beyond grateful for the incredible community that showed up to support Lemonade's soft launch/fundraiser yesterday! Your presence and generosity meant the world to us. 🤍

Thank you so much to our BOT members Atty. Lee Yarcia, Jennifer Padilla, and Atty. Precious Gan for being there and delivering heartfelt speeches about creating a more equal society, supporting young people's dreams, and building nurturing communities! Thank you to Miles and our dear friends from Mindanao Climate Justice, for explaining the need to inspire more youth to stand for land, education, health, and justice.

Our deep gratitude also goes out to Kat Reyes () and Kat Hernandez for lending their art to our cause, to Mara Peralta for her enthralling performance, to Ken Bautista for our logo, to Bea Mariano and Kat Reyes for our website, to Grant Lu and Michelle Pagaran for the wonderful floral arrangements, to Jennifer Padilla for our bag design, to Gale Villaflor for our lovely stamps, to Chapterhouse for the warm space, to Dave and Ken for marshalling, and to the silkscreeners of Kamuning for our bags and signages.

It's here! 🍋

We've developed a mentorship programme to help the youth build caring communities, and it's called Lemonade, because it was born at a time of upheaval in our country and the world (and we want to make something good out of it).

Please check out our website (https://lemonadeyouth.org) for more of our mission, and sign up for the newsletter where we'll publish materials on nurturing collective care among the next generation. And, hope to see you all at our soft launch/fundraiser at Chapterhouse in Sikatuna Village on Oct. 18, 1-5pm.

There will be a short program + Lemonade merch, a flower bar, tattoo station, crocheted items, handmade paper and notecards, and other one-of-a-kind things, and the founders and board members will be there to chat with.
