ASEAN-BAC Philippines, led by Chair Joey Concepcion, co-organized the ASEAN-Indian Business Forum with the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI), bringing together business leaders, industry experts, and representatives from the public and private sectors to explore opportunities for deeper India-Philippines economic engagement.

In his remarks from the ASEAN-BAC perspective, Concepcion highlighted FICCI’s longstanding ties with ASEAN-BAC and the Forum’s role in facilitating greater business connectivity and collaboration between India and the Philippines.

ASEAN-BAC Senior Adviser for Agriculture and Food Security (AFSA) James Amparo joined Panel Discussion 2, which examined food inflation and affordability, agricultural input and supply stability, and cold chain, logistics, and food processing. He was joined by DA Undersecretary Philip Young, with AGREA Founding Farmer and President Cherrie Atilano serving as moderator.

ASEAN-BAC Executive Adviser for Digital Trade Bettina Quimson moderated Panel Discussion 4, “Building Competitive Digital Economies,” featuring Assistant Majority Floor Leader of the House of Representatives, Representative Brian Poe Llamanzares, Inspire Eteprisa India Limited – APAC President Josef Figueroa, Exoasia Innovation Founder and CEO Mark Comandante, and Wipro Ltd. HR Head Pushpesh Tripathi.

ASEAN-BAC Senior Adviser for AFSA Gil Gonzales delivered the closing remarks, emphasizing FICCI’s continued engagement with ASEAN and the importance of sustained private-sector dialogue in supporting regional economic ties.

ASEAN-BAC Philippines led the “Digital Growth Pathways for Philippine SMEs” workshop, convening business leaders, finance professionals, accountants, and MSME advisers to explore practical ways to accelerate digital transformation among Philippine SMEs.

Co-organized by the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) and the Philippine Institute of Certified Public Accountants (PICPA), the workshop brought together industry experts and key stakeholders to discuss how digital tools and processes can strengthen MSME productivity, resilience, and trade-readiness.

The workshop is part of the ACCA–ASEAN-BAC Philippines project supporting the Philippines’ 2026 ASEAN Chairship, advancing practical solutions to help MSMEs adapt, grow, and compete in an increasingly digital economy.
