We are so happy to share that Choi Liit’s DIY shelter has officially been deployed! 🏡✨

A massive THANK YOU to everyone who generously supported our little rescue. We raised a total of PHP 3,500 in donations, and here is a transparent breakdown of how your contributions were put to good use for his comfort:

* 2 Storage Bins: PHP 1,160
* Elevated Plastic Matting: PHP 366
* 3-Meter Steel Dog Leash: PHP 220
* 4 pcs. Washable P*e Pads: PHP 946.39

Total spent: PHP 2,692.39

The remaining funds are safely set aside for Choi Liit’s upcoming vet visit, which will cover his general check-up, vaccination, deworming, and anti-tick and flea medications. 🩺💉

WHAT'S NEXT FOR CHOI LIIT?
Our next big step for his health and well-being is to have him neutered! ✂️🐾

As we prepare for his medical procedures, we would deeply appreciate any continued support—whether through prayers, shares, or donations of any amount to help cover his neutering expenses. Every little bit brings him closer to a healthier, safer life.

Thank you once again for opening your hearts to Choi Liit. We truly couldn't have done this without your kindness! ❤️🐶

🏠 Foster / safe space needed for Tobi — Metro Manila

Hi everyone! We're still looking for a temporary foster or safe separate space for Tobi, a rescued community cat from Mandaluyong.

Tobi has improved a lot and is now cleared for home care, but he still needs a separate space while recovering from persistent colds. Unfortunately, we haven't found a foster yet, so he remains confined at the vet.

If you have a spare room, unused unit, or know someone who might be able to foster him temporarily, we'd really appreciate any leads. 🧡

📍 Mandaluyong / Metro Manila
🚗 Transportation can be arranged
💌 Please message us if you can help.

Full details and Tobi's latest update in the shared post below in the comments. 🐾

🏠 TOBI IS READY FOR HOME CARE! FOSTER NEEDED 🧡

We finally have some really good news about Tobi!

After weeks of treatment, Tobi has improved enough that his vet says he can continue his recovery through home care. His stool is now formed and much less frequent, his appetite is good, he has no fever, and his IV has already been removed.

He still has persistent colds and will need oral medications, nebulization, supplements, and monitoring while he recovers.

Now, all Tobi needs is a safe place where he can finish getting better.

We're looking for a foster in Mandaluyong or within Metro Manila who can care for him until he's fully recovered. Since he still has respiratory symptoms, he needs to be isolated from other cats as much as possible for now.

If his foster needs help with food, litter, medications, transportation, or follow-up care, we're more than willing to assist and work with you.

His vet recommends home care once a suitable foster is found, especially since Tobi isn't vaccinated yet and prolonged confinement can increase his risk of picking up another infection.

We are still accepting donations toward his ongoing vet expenses, but right now, finding Tobi a foster is our biggest priority.

Tobi has made it this far. Now we're hoping his next stop is a safe foster home where he can continue getting better. 🐾🧡

Quick Update:

We had to call off the IBC tank purchase because of some major red flags from the seller (like refusing to give his BPI account because it's allegedly "full," and pushing for GCash or a digital bank instead).

Good news is, our backup plan is in motion! We’re buying two 205-liter storage boxes and turning them into a DIY dog house.

We received PhP 1,500 for this project and that’s more than our target amount. Huge thanks to everyone who chipped in and helped Choi Liit! 🐾

We’ll post updates once we’ve deployed the DIY dog house.

====

Meet Choi Liit, a loyal dog stationed along Esteban St. guarding his "owner's" junk materials.

With the non-stop rain for over a week, poor Choi Liit has zero proper shelter to keep him dry. While we work on convincing his owner to let us find him a real, loving home, he desperately needs immediate protection from the weather.

We are raising funds to turn an IBC tank into a cozy, waterproof makeshift shelter for him. The tank costs ₱1,000, and we are looking for 20 kind sponsors to donate just ₱50 each. We will personally handle cutting and modifying it to ensure he stays warm and safe.

📲 To donate, please check the QR code in the comments section. Thank you for helping Choi Liit!

Every morning begins with the same quiet resolve:

“Let’s make sure everyone made it through the night.”

At Cats of CGS, we’re not a shelter or a rescue organization—just a group of volunteers who refuse to look away.

Every single day, we feed the community cats within CGS, alongside stray cats and dogs along Calbayog, Esteban, Bulusan, Sinag, and Arayat Streets. We notice when someone is missing, we get the sick and injured to the vet whenever we can, and we work to spay and neuter so fewer animals are born into hardship.

Everything—from daily meals to veterinary care—is sustained by our own pockets and the generosity of our donors.

Some days bring the relief of a recovery or a new home. Other days carry the weight of arriving too late.

We can’t do this alone, but together we can keep showing up.

💛 You can help make a difference today:
• Donate any amount to help fund food and medical care.
• Donate cat or dog food.
• Donate litter sand.
• Donate vitamins and supplements.
• Open your home and adopt to give an animal a fresh start.

For the stray cats and dogs waiting for us, your support means the difference between struggling alone and finding safety.

Please help us keep showing up for them. 🐾

🐱 TOBI UPDATE: He’s still fighting, but he still needs our help. 🧡

It’s been about two weeks since we rescued Tobi from the streets near Mercury Drugstore. He came in weak, thin, barely eating, and with severe colds.

Tests showed that Tobi was battling multiple infections and intestinal parasites, including Giardia, tapeworms, roundworms, and hookworms. Despite everything, he started eating again and remains alert and active.

Unfortunately, Tobi continues to have persistent diarrhea despite treatment and two rounds of deworming. His white blood cell count also went up from 21K to 28K, but thankfully his latest CBC showed some improvement at 23K.

His doctors are now considering Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD) as a possible cause of his ongoing gastrointestinal problems and have adjusted his treatment. They are also recommending a Biochemistry Test to check his liver and kidney function and rule out other underlying conditions.

Tobi has been confined for around two weeks now, and his vet bill continues to grow with the additional tests, medications, and care he needs.

🙏 We’re once again knocking on your hearts for any help toward Tobi’s care. No amount is too small.

I’ll leave our GCash QR in the comments. Please indicate “Tobi’s care.” 🧡

🏠 We are also still hoping to find a foster or forever home for Tobi once he is medically cleared.

If you’re unable to donate, sharing Tobi’s story would already mean so much. Please help us give this sweet boy the chance to fully recover and finally have a home of his own. 🐾🧡

🧡 PLEASE HELP RED — Donations & Foster Needed 🧡

Red is one of the ginger community cats we feed every day near Street Ramen. We recently had her spayed, and she had been doing well after the procedure.

A few days ago, we became worried when Red suddenly stopped showing up during feeding time. After two days of not seeing her, we went to check on her. The cook from Street Ramen told us that something seemed wrong with her eyes.

At first, we thought it might just be irritation. But when he showed us Red, we were shocked.

Her eyes were severely injured and bulging, and it did not look like the usual injuries we see from cat fights. We honestly feared that she may have been deliberately hurt while she was missing.

We don't know exactly what happened and don't want to make any accusations. But Red had stopped eating and clearly needed help, so we immediately brought her to the vet.

Because of the severity of her condition, the vet recommended an eye enucleation procedure. Red has since undergone surgery and is now recovering at the clinic.

Despite everything she has been through, Red is still incredibly sweet and trusting. Even at the clinic, she still welcomes affection and allows the people caring for her to comfort her.

After seeing what happened to her, we really don't want Red to go straight back to the streets after discharge.

We're hoping to find her a temporary foster home where she can safely recover, and we're also asking for help with her vet bills, surgery, and continued care.

Any amount for Red would already be a huge help. For those who would like to donate, we'll leave our GCash details in the comments below. Please indicate “For Red” so we can keep track of donations for her care.

If donating isn't possible, sharing Red's story or helping us find a foster would mean just as much.

💌 Please DM us if you can foster Red.

After everything she's been through, this sweet girl deserves a safe place to heal. 🧡🐾

🐾 Seeking Kapon Ninongs and Ninangs for Sweet Merry! 🐾

Meet Merry, a gentle soul rescued from Bulusan St. Heartbreakingly, Merry was kicked out onto the streets by her previous humans simply because she wasn't toilet trained. 💔

Despite the cruelty she experienced—including beatings from people who didn’t want her around—Merry remains incredibly sweet and trusts humans so easily. It’s a miracle how much love she still has to give, and she deserves a safe, loving forever home where she will never be hurt again.

Our ultimate plan is to rehome Merry, but before she can find her forever family, we need to make sure she is fully protected and healthy. Merry is currently safe at CARA Welfare, where she is scheduled for her vaccinations and kapon (spay) this week! 🩺💉

To make this possible, we are looking for kind-hearted Kapon Ninongs and Ninangs to help sponsor her medical and spay expenses. Any amount will go a long way in giving Merry the fresh start she so desperately deserves.

✨ How to help:
* Donations can be sent via: GCash (0956) 508 5013 (see comments section for QR Code)

* Important: Please indicate "Merry's kapon" in your transaction notes so we can track her funds properly!

* Share this post to help Merry find her sponsors and, eventually, her dream home!

Let’s rally together to show Merry that not all humans are cruel. Thank you so much for your kindness and support! 🙏❤️
